When the guyz at NNL West announced the themes for next year, the "ought" years 1910, 1920, 1930, etc. plus "racecars".

I dug around in my stash and found this:

This is a very, very nice kit. Did not encounter any problems during the build.

Basically a straight outta-da-box build with a little detail work in engine compartment.

Man that came out nice,Curt! I 'specially like the engine compartment. Shows what a NICE job can be done with this kit, when you take the time. Yours came out GREAT! Color's really right too!:lol:

Nice build! I used to own a '71 G.T. Torino.

I have one question.... Did that taillight come with that kit? I wanted to build a copy of the Torino I used to own, and bought a Revell Muscle Series '70 Torino Cobra, but it has the split taillights, where as mine had the full width taillight like yours.

Your Torino looks great!

Very, very nice. Since I am genetically programmed to be unable to leave any kit unmolested, factory stock builds like this leave me gobsmacked and envious! Replica builds not only require great technique, they demand a level of discipline that totally escapes me. Beautiful model, Curt.

Where do you get the time to build so many models?!

Since the girls have grown, got boyfriends and all; momma's got her own thing goin' and she like's the fact I'm in the garage playin' with plastic...I have been afforded the luxury of time to build.

Plus, I build faster than I really should anyhow, does lend itself to making mistakes...but what the heck that's me.

Thanx Bernard

when building factory stock, you are free from having to be creative and attacking the plastic with the ol'dremel tool, but you have to build'em clean.

I'm gettin' better, still a long way to go... <_<

Curt, that turned out beautiful, as usual. I was thinking the same as Raul, about the time to build all those great looking models! Oh well... come on, retirement! :P .

But he's not retired!! He still works a full time job!!

Let's see...my kids are also grown and out of the house, mama works, spends a lot of time with her mom and like's the fact I'm in the playing with plastic...but I still can't build anywhere near your pace.

I'm going to have to take a trip down to Hollister and see how you really do it...I think you've got elves helping you.
