LOBBS Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 First up, Ethan's (my 8 year old) Revell '68 Firebird 400 in Testors One-Coat Revving Red shot right over the plastic. Next up, Elliot's (my 6 year old) Revell '67 Plymouth GTX in Testors One-Coat Icy Blue again right over the blue plastic. We've gone through at least a dozen practice jobs on some junk bodies and they wanted to move onto to their real projects so we shot some paint this afternoon. We'll shoot some clear on these next weekend after they're good and gassed out. Thanks for looking, Kyle "LOBBS" Laubscher
Raul_Perez Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Great job, Ethan and Elliot!! Please keep us posted on your progress!! Thanks for sharing,
Dragline Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Those paint jobs are embarassingly good. I need to pick up my game now!! Bob F
Foxer Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 WOW BOYS! Those look smooth and even paint jobs. And betting your Dad is even more impressed than I am. I'm looking foward to seeing how these come out in the end.
cruz Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Hey kids, I want to be like you two when I grow up!!!! Cool job on those paintjobs!!
Scott Colmer Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 Great job, boys! Practice does make perfect! I hope to see some finished projects soon. I bet they will be spectacular. Scott
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Awesome paint work boys, guess it paid off to practice, keep at it, did a great job
Modlbldr Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Great job boys! I like 'em both. I am working on one of the 68 Firebirds myself (posted under this section- "68 Firebird WIP") and I really like that Icy Blue on one of my favorite cars. Keep up the great work and let's see them finished. Later-
Modellpularn Posted August 17, 2009 Posted August 17, 2009 Ohhh, I guess Dad is proud of his boys now! The paint jobs look great! Keep up the good work boys, and you'll be building show winners eventually. A nice paint job gets attention, but don't forget all the other details on a model car...... I'm sure Dad will show you how to do them as well. I'd love to see the finished models.
