As a Mason, I take considerable umbrage with the New World Order nonsense.

Contrary to what you and a lot of other people seem to think, Masonry, nor any other fraternal order, are out to take over the world.

I once was watching one of these conspiracy programs about 'secret underground societies' plotting global domination. One of the Mason leaders interviewed could barely stop lauging at the idea. He couldn't even believe some consider the Masons a 'secret society'. He said something to the effect of " We have buildings with our names on them, we have Masonic symbols and bumper stickers on our cars... we're in the YELLOW PAGES... certainly we aren't doing a good job of being a secret society!"

Mankind has never lived in peace and harmony, ever... beginning with the first caveman that conked the second caveman on the head with his club and took his wife away, right through to today and the wars going on around the world.

There have been wars going on somewhere on the planet (and many times in many different places simultaneously) continuously since we began keeping track of things... apparently it's human nature to want to fight somebody. I see absolutely no reason to think that human nature will change any time soon. For better or worse, we are what we are. Anyone who thinks that someday soon man will somehow fundamentally change is pretty idealistic (or naive).

There is one hope for world peace Harry.... crude and primitive 'behavior modification' experiments!

That, or like the great prophet Geroge Carlin forsaw, a world restored to it's former pristine beauty... after the wildfires, floods, earthquakes, wars, and exploding meth labs destroy life as we know it!

That last scenario sounds doable, no? ;)

As long as human beings have been part of the planet, there has never been peace... and as long as they remain part of the planet, there never will be peace. I base that opinion on the events of the past 2,000+ years.

But hey, Trekkies... keep dreaming! There's nothing wrong with being a "glass half-full" type, just remember to take a dose of reality with your happy pill once in a while... ;)

If there actually are "secret societies" nobody else would know about them, right???

Well, we can debate about nonsense conspiracy theories and the end of the world as we know it, but we have to take our own transience into account. When the sun burns out in 5 billion years, it won't matter anyway. :(:(:(

Not to worry , I have this great hiding spot with alot of room...I figure if I made a few coast to coast trips I can collect and store everyones kits..by 2020 if all works out well your kits will be safe and worth more...but my mind will be shot....we'll start with pre-barcoded kits first..

AHEM.....the Mayans never predicted the END OF THE WORLD in 2012, in fact what they actually predicted was the end of this current AGE and the Beginning of Humanity's GREATEST AGE. Now as to REVELATIONS in the Bible....that prediction only came to be Halfway true in it's Prediction. I don't know how many of yall know that Rome was Founded on (7) SEVEN Hills, known as the 7 GATES to the HELLMOUTH _TimCurryasDarkness-02.jpg also known as The Colosseum or Roman Coliseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre (Latin: ... The name was further corrupted to Coliseum during the Middle Ages). But Rome is still amongst us, but that is another story....

Anyways, the world is not coming to an end.....but the magnetic poles might switch ends, now that would be someting to live through.....yeppers that would be something very spectacular.....

Well, boys.......looks like you won't have to wait 'till 2012. I just saw on the news that we're blowing up the moon in the morning.

Oh good, I need some more cheese for my sandwhich! :P

Um...........yea well wow! I just saw that bit of news too! Isn't this what sci-fi author's predicted a while back? Although their thought's were that we'd be doing this for mining purposes and that it some how the explosion caused the moon to split in half causing havoc down here!

I wonder what we'll see tomorrow. Will we see the moon split in half due to some human error? EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

OK, one thing that all the doomsday talkers on TV and what not neglected to mention is that these callendars that "END" in 2012 also had a beginning. Yes the Myan callendar ends 12/22/2012, but it BEGINS 8/11/3114BC. So, did the world begin on 8/11/3114bc?..........NO! One thing that does worry me though is some nut with a large weapon that does believe the world will end. And come on 12/22, two days before Christmas, that would stink! B)

Yea I agree with you. They can at least wait until a month after Christmas which is about when our new toy's have gotten used, and abused and no longer nice and new.

Just watching the movie PeaceMakers with Nicole Kidman and George Cloonie. Nicole said it just right. "I'm not worried about the millions of nukes out there. I'm worried about the guy who just want's one." Great movie!

Date's and times mean nothing at all until events happen.
