What it is

75DodgePowerWagon.jpg

Now I have gone thru few sets of wheels and on/off Winch bumper.

Started with a AMT Dodge Long Bed

The bed is not a Ron Cash Resin bed.

Since I had the 1:1 it was easy to match by shortening the front and rear of the bed.

Doors open, No Mirrors since they just fall of anywhoo ;)

Mine also had 2 fuel tanks, one in cab and one under the bed so I left that one there and

build one in the cab.

AMTs RoadRunner 440

Scratch built front and Rear Leafsprings and Winch bumper and BFD'd it.

Aoshima tires and custom build wheels to match a set I had

Thanks for looking.

That's cool...I want to build something like that as a replica of the '79 SWB Power Wagon I learned to drive in...my Dad had one in the '80s for a few years.. had a 318 and a bad habit of stalling on left turns. Silver green inside and out.

Thanks. Rob Hall

Okay, Mine had a 360 but I wish I had a 440 in it. ;)

I did a hard left hand turn sliding U-turn actually in the rain and it stalled.

Darn was I embarrassed, sure glad nobody was looking. :D

Thanks. snapper

I always had a sheet of plywood in the back to save the bed and I had a

rollbar with lights on it till the model crashed. I had to rebuild the whole suspension

this week. That's why it's a bit shinier than the rest. ;)

Darn it if I didn't build the suspension to scale, didn't hold up very well

Thanks davezinn and 1320wayne

I copy well. ;)

Thanks. James W

The 1:1? Last time I saw it, it was in Canby for sale and I Almost bought it back.

Didn't fare will in the last owners hands tho.

Model?

Yup, went thru a rebuild recently after a Crash landing in a move a few yrs ago.

Shoulda built the leaf springs out of brass.

Next build

Thanks. mustanglover1951

Thanks LVZ2881

Ya, A roll over will do some damage.

After this truck I got a 3/4t ClubCab lwb with a Built 383 and 38'inch SuperSwampers.

That is on my stalled project shelf but I got a Ron Cash Resin ClubCab. Yaaaaa ;)

Thanks midnightprowler & kyledr330

I'm glad to bring it back to light and back together.

Thanks 99GT

The wheels are two part.

The star Centers are from the AMT 55 Chevy stepside

and the larger trim ring is from a Monogram chrome wheel to add depth and fit the bigger tires.

Painted up my own rear plate

P9200018.jpg

I made TrailMaster shocks at the 4 corners and a Rancho Steering Stabilizer

added Brake lines and E-brakes

I did miss the T-Case cross member tho.

Interior shot.

or atleast I tried

P9190004.jpg

P9190008.jpg

I used masking tape and painted it black to simulate my rubber floor mats (no carpet)

Added the 1/2t 100 emblem to the side and made the chrome trim to separate the colors.

They called this bright red back in the days.

VERY SWEET BUILD!!!!

I a working on turning a Lil Red Express into basically the same truck.

I have the 4x4 parts from a older model, but I am unhappy with them. Contemplating building my own leaf springs, but I have never tried that before. if you could give me som pointers or even a few more pics of yours, that would be sweet! thanks!
