JTRACING Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 got bored and stuck this together for fun. about 20 mins of work
djway3474 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 It looks like the shop you assembled it in may be a tad dirty LOL Nice job
Guest Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 That is incredible! I just dont believe that you assembled and painted and weathered this baby in 20 minutes!
2002p51 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 That's excellent. I'm not buying the twenty minutes part, but that's excellent work.
dimaxion Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 very, very cool! looks like one of the PBL dio's? very realistic weathering and just enough detail to make it interesting and believable. Dave Imma no think thisa 20 minute project . I spent last winter on an Engine building jag . This does not detract a very convincing replica . In the day , road tests listed oil consumption right along with fuel econemy . If it didn't leak : it was running on it's last legs . The Factory Warrenties were 12 / 12 . Thanx for sharing ..
george 53 Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) Jim, that thing is beautiful! I did one of my very first valve jobs on an engine outta a 52 Chevy DeLux. I think it was a 292 an when we pulled outta my dad's work car, it REALLY did look just like that!!! GREAT JOB, Thanks for bringin back some really fond memrys!!! Edited October 22, 2009 by george 53
noname Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Thats super cool, the whole thing! The manifold looks like real rust. Pastels I presume?
Chuck Most Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I can buy the 20 minute build time- I've done a few engine builds in ten or twenty minutes. Few of them were as convincing as this, though! Now- what (if anything) is it going into?
Foxer Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Very nice! Just the added flanges add so much to the realism and the weathering is superb.
Raul_Perez Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Very well done, realistic weathering!! That reminds me, it's time to build a few dioramas to sell at the NNL West!! Thanks for sharing,
Brendan Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 I think your engines leaking oil. Might be a gasket problem. Great job on it.
voljeepx Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Yeah, definitely an oil leak somewhere! Great job!
