Tom99 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I deceided to rebuild a junker. It a 68 Plymouth Fury I, 4 door sedan. The color is Yellow Gold, with a beige vinyl top. Since it's a base model, I thought a slant six would be fitting.
george 53 Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Real nice clean build Tom! One of the guys in our club,Mike "raisin" Garette, took the center post out of the side window,an TOTALLY changed the entire look of the car! There aren't enough stock versions of this kit, Yours looks GREAT!!!
David G. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 (edited) It looks pretty good already. It'll be interesting to see what improvements and changes you make. Hmm, maybe a cop car, taxi or military staff car. Edited November 13, 2009 by David G.
von Zipper Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 I like IT ! Good color combo-inside and out, the slant-6 looks right at home in there. Thanks for sharing it. Cecil

Harry P. Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Real nice! Base model stockers like this are seen waaaaaay too rarely in the model car world... yours looks great!
Greg Cullinan Posted November 13, 2009 Posted November 13, 2009 Looks cool. Color looks like it would have come from the factory.
Tom99 Posted November 13, 2009 Author Posted November 13, 2009 Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is a Lindberg Slant 6, that I had. I picked the colors out of a dealer brochure

voljeepx Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Great work on this Fury! If it wasn't sitting on a ledge you would think it was the real thing! Great color combo and what an interesting subject!
Aaronw Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Nice job, I like this kit and wish I had bought a few more when they were available. I did this one a couple of years ago as a National Park Service patrol car.
James Flowers Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 That just looks so right. Great looking build you have there.
Janne Herajärvi Posted November 14, 2009 Posted November 14, 2009 Very nice. Color looks great and those wheels/tyres and engine are great choice!
Harold Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 Nice mainstreamer Plymouth. These are the cars you'd see in farmer's driveways and on the back roads of the Thumb.
MoparManiac318 Posted August 12, 2011 Posted August 12, 2011 (edited) Awesome build!! What kit is it? I own a 1:1 65 Plymouth Fury 1 and have been looking everywhere for a model of it. Edited August 27, 2011 by MoparManiac318
charlie8575 Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I'm surprised I never responded to this. Very nice model. That looks great. The Slant-Six fits the car very well. Charlie Larkin
