Thanks for switching out the Falcon for the Olds for me, this is what I will be building. One of my resin kits. The pics are of a mock up, its not started yet. I am a pro street junkie so that might be the direction it goes in, not sure yet. Nor on the engine choice, I did not cast the orig. kit engine but could use the engine out of the 66' 442 donor kit. The engine I sat down in the mock up with the 4 side draft webers is a DOHC Hemi,,,I guess that would be a crime against nature. welcome aboard

some of what you have asked for (turbos/intercoolers) are scratchbuild

however, there is an australian company (i think it is called the partsbox) that does sell resin cast turbo kits

as for most of the the other stuff (engines and go fast goodies) even thought they are sold seperatly most of those can be obtained by buying and building kits that can be build in several ways and saving the extra parts

for instance, revell has a 1969 dodge charger that comes with both the stock 440 magnum and a race 426 hemi in it

there is also a modified stocker 1953 ford F100 truck that has the stock flathead engine and a desoto firedome hemi

the desoto has 2 different intake setups so when i build that kit i slapped the flathead in the truck

(the velocity stacks were optional parts from a mustang kit)

then i build the desoto with the fuel injection as a display engine

and finally i used the log manifold from the desoto on the 426 hemi cuda

so in short

keep building those models and the parts will show up eventually

if your in more of a hurry do "junkyard" searches on ebay

that should be your cheapest bet

also, there is the wanted area here on the forum where you can trade of those parts for parts you like better

one final suggestion

look for a 1970 dodge coronet superbee prostreet kit

(the green or yellow car on the box)

youll find some awesome goodies in there

Haha good plan, I had a similar deal when I used phone-line wiring on my '72 Blazer build. No more will I use it, since it's too large and too hard to bend for such small curves.

Someone had told me that the phone wire was "PERFECT" for use as spark plug wires, so since I had over a hundred foot of it, I took the time to strip it ALL!! Then when I went to use it, I realized that it was really too large for it! So at any rate I now have over 600 feet of colored wires! LOL. By the way, if someone is looking for that kind of wire, I have more then plenty and willing to strike up a deal! LOL.I thought it was more suited for like battery cables, or maybe rubber lines like heater hoses and such.Thanks. Jody

i think i have seen that paint scheme before

here is an idea for your hood (not that i dont like yers but just putting it out there)

look at this little drawing i made here

in the first picture the hood is closed, in the second its open (duh)

the bleu line represents the body of the hinge, you can make this as long as you want

but keep in mind that how ever tall the vertical part is (in the first picture) that is how far the hood moves past the front of the car

in the picture the two red dots represent the actual pivot points

so you basically have two hinges

There should be lots of awsome cars this coming June. So heres a bit o progress, I finally got some smaller round rod and fabbed up the upper portion of the frontend.And did more for my springs.I also smoothed out the firewall so I can add my own stuff.

Hey guys,

I've been REALLY busy lately but I managed to get a little more done on the goat.

Got the body painted the other day and mocked it up real quick.

Sorry for the crappy pics. I'm not too good of a photographer.

Gonna start the BMF and detail work next week I hope, paint the engine compartment and finish the chassis, then I can start puttin' her together.

I tried like hell to make a ram-air setup through the high beams, but I couldn't come up with anything that I thought looked good on it. Oh well...
