James Flowers Posted December 31, 2009 Posted December 31, 2009 Now that is a switch. Looks good so far.
FordWagonNut Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Thats something I have been wanting to do for awhile. Looking good!
RodneyBad Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 WOW. Nice chop job. Gonna look cool when your finished
Agent G Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Ooooooooh cool! Where'd you get the diecast from? My personal car is an all black '05, and I want to build it.

Foxer Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 What a great "reverse of the normal thinking"! Looks very good to boot!

Lownslow Posted January 1, 2010 Author Posted January 1, 2010 you still got the limo goodies (j-seat and wet bar)? if so PM me im keeping it for my other limo What scale is it? 1/25 give or take
Agent G Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 Thanks for the info! If you need reference photos just holler.
SSNJim Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 i ran into this a few years ago i think sunnyside made it I remember seeing the car in K-Mart and other mass retailers a few years back. I don't remember the manufacturer either. I should have picked one up then, I had the shortening in mind. Never did it, though. I still see some of the other cars in the line available from time to time - mainly the Chrysler 300C, and usually in 1/18. Good luck, it's looking good so far.
charlie8575 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 You're giving me ideas. I might try to do one in the colors I'd order it. Charlie Larkin
Chuck Most Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I'm surprised there's no Town Car in kit form... not even a resin body for the Lindberg Crown Vic! Killer!
jevries Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 I'm surprised there's no Town Car in kit form... not even a resin body for the Lindberg Crown Vic! Killer! Indeed it's a pretty common ride in the US and there's even not a single 1/18 diecast version...beats me.
James Flowers Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 They make a 1/24 scale 96 Lincoln Limousine. Model Number SS 0701 made in China on the bottom of the car. The car on the bottom says 1/24 scale all though it is not 1/24. It is smaller than 1/24 scale. I have one. I will have to find the box to see who made it.
Chuck Most Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 All I've found so far is this limo pull-back toy from Kinsmart- I think I bought it at a gas station about ten years ago- it cost around $2.99. I don't remember the scale- I'll have to check it out later, but it's about five inches long. There was also a 1/24 scale (give or take) Lincoln Navigator die cast. I had one a few years ago, and it wasn't the best detail wise.
Agent G Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I scored the Sunnyside limo off evilbay last weekend. $19.95, and worth it to me. I'll be watching this build for sure now.
rollinoldskoo Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 I'm surprised there's no Town Car in kit form... not even a resin body for the Lindberg Crown Vic! Killer! i think i've done 4 of these overs that past few years.... gregg took one to jimmy flintstone for me about 3 years ago.... i dunno what became of it....
Chuck Most Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 i think i've done 4 of these overs that past few years.... gregg took one to jimmy flintstone for me about 3 years ago.... i dunno what became of it.... Evidently, it wasn't mastered! I guarantee I'd buy at least five or six of 'em!
Jon Cole Posted January 19, 2010 Posted January 19, 2010 This is a great thread! I really dig Limo's in scale. I have every one of the Presidential Series from Yat Ming, plus a Chrysler 300C and a Navigator, all in 1/24 - 1/25. If the Town Car is to the same scale, I wouldn't mind buying one. I wish someone would cast one!
