Model Cars Magazine Forum

I know what you are thinking: does the world need ANOTHER model car forum? Sure, why not?

I just finished setting up this one, The Scale Soapbox

http://thescalesoapbox.proboards.com/index.cgi

I've added a few features I haven't seen on other forums, such as-

1. "Under Glass"-style threads, with hot rods, rat rods, customs, replica stocks, and other categories each getting their own area instead of everything being lumped into one big category.

2. The "Soapbox Derby" where you can challenge other modelers to build offs, amaze each other with useless trivia, and bore each other to death with your stories.

3. A "Classic Kit Reviews" section- You can read about new kits anywhere. Ever want to show off that unbuilt MPC '33 Chevy Panel, Premiere Studebaker Champ, or AAM Black Widow transkit? Here's your shot!

4. Soapbox Auction- Patterned loosely after the infamous "H.A.M.B." auctions- this is where you can go to unload yer scale junk!

The rules and regs are posted on the forum- I'm pretty lenient on most matters. I absolutely do not tolerate racial slurs of any kind. Keep it off my forum, or YOU will be off my forum. Period.

I've got it set up, and of course I'll be popping in as often as I can. You guys take it from here- any MCM member is welcome on the Soapbox!

Nice site, I am now a member <_< I do have 1 question though, I am working on a 1969 Super Bee, Does this go in the factory fresh forum, or the hot rod forum?

And here I thought by the title, it was going to be a place to rant.. haha! Just think....you could divide the forum up into sections. Prayers (God knows I need some right now) , Personal Attacks, Self Esteem/Personal Pity, Flame Wars and much more! I have to admit, I would join just to get some entertainment in the wee hours...

Good luck with your forum Chuck.

Kind of depends on what's modified on it, I guess. If it's done just like a new one, I'd put it in factory stock, if it's modified, I'd go with hot rods! ;)

You should have an introduction area for new members, and then include an outroduction area where members can post their "I'm outta here" proclamations. ;)
