bluemoose Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Here's the the old AMT kit I just finished after a long pause. I painted it with HOK cloud blue, and used wheels, tires, engine, and suspension parts from my parts box.
jphillips1970 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 That color really sets off the car nice - great wheel set up -
Eric Stone Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Man, I like that! Very clean, nice wheels, great color.
george 53 Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Tom, NICE build. Ya do know AMT actually popped that same kit in THAT SAME COLOR? Looks like ya just polished that rascal up! I agree, the wide whites DO set it off right nicely!
plasticfrog Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Great job!! Tom I like how you keeped it so clean almost box stock
Bernard Kron Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Great stance and wheel/tire setup. Sweet lookin' little roadster... Since it sounds like you used the kit chassis, what did you do to get the car to sit like that?
Chuck Most Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Been a while since I've seen a really sweet full fendered A Roadster! Very well done, my man! (Like yours too, Philo!)
bluemoose Posted January 25, 2010 Author Posted January 25, 2010 Great stance and wheel/tire setup. Sweet lookin' little roadster... Since it sounds like you used the kit chassis, what did you do to get the car to sit like that? Thanks! In the rear I used the kit's custom rear axle assembly cut down a little, and for the front I used the axle from the Revell '32 Ford with part of the spring cut away and the rest pushed way up into the cross member.
Harry P. Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Really REALLY nice! I love the color, it's not your typical "hot rod" color. And like the guys say, the wheels and wide whites are absolutely perfect. This is what it's all about, folks... taking a very common car and making it your own. Great stuff! Oh... and your photos are great too!
Gmckid Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Your roadster looks fantastic,it really has a great timeless look to it.
RodBurNeR Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) WOW! I love this Tom, color and style....very nice! Edited January 26, 2010 by RodBurNeR
