Exotics_Builder Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 If you get carried away into detailing, how about 1/24 scale lug nuts. Yes there are 20 in the package and the vendor has multiple styles.
Modelmartin Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Very cool! I gots to get me some of those!!!
elan Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Something new for all the rivet counters. LOL I would have to see them on a completed car to judge.
Eric Stone Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 Sounds like too much effort to me- I assume you gotta remove the existing lugnuts from the kit supplied wheels, clean up and finish your freshly made holes, then add these somehow, and they'll end up deep in the hole on the wheel anyway...
Fuel Coupe Posted February 5, 2010 Posted February 5, 2010 these are useless w/ out a 1.0mm lug wrench....
jbwelda Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 this just so happens to be exactly what i need to detail some fujimi enthusiasts porsche wheels thanks for posting this! now to find them...
crazyjim Posted February 6, 2010 Posted February 6, 2010 Long ago I had a plan to create a fixture that would be used to hold drum so I could accurately drill holes and mount treaded rod into. A wheel would drilled and then mounted to the studs. Tiny nuts would hold the in place or be removed for display. Never got around to trying it and my eyes aren't good enough any more.
jbwelda Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 >my eyes aren't good enough any more. tell me about it. i am coming to that sad realization myself. on the positive side, i dont so easily see all the details that are missing!
