idlewild Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 I built this with most bit's from my part's box thank's for looking. Cheers Tony.
High octane Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Hey Tony, really nice job on the '55 Chevy gasser. I built one a few years back and ofen think about doing another one. Yours is one sharp build!
KENNEDYJR Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 That looks perfect. If you run out of room I have a spot for it in my display case.
W-409 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Man, that's awesome gasser! Looking nice and i love these.
carrucha Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Cool gasser. Very authentic looking. I like the wheel/tire combo and decals. Good job. carrucha
bigmikevee Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Tony, Great build, color looks just right, makes you glad you saved the old parts, gassers are a gas!! Mike
David G. Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 Very cool! As a parts box build, it's like a "Buy a couple dozen, get one free!" sale.
idlewild Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 Thank's for the complimaent's guy's I appreciate them. Cheers Tony.
Old Coyote Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 absolutely gorgeous ............. stellar work sir
Terry Sumner Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Beautiful job Tony! But it's not a gasser...it's an altered. Remember, gassers had to have complete cooling systems. Your lack of a radiator bumps the car up into the Altered classes. But classification aside, that is a really nice model you've done there!
Mooneyzs Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 This is a great looking build. job well done on it.
tomrohn69 Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 love them gassers,i got a bunch i build back in the 70s
Dr. Cranky Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 It turned out nice, a keeper, and the color and stripes really make it stand out. Excellent contender for your collection.
eviltwincustoms Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 I don't know if it is a Gasser or an Altered.... but it is a very nice build. You should be very proud of what you accomplished. Love the orange, nice paint job.
Truck parts Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Love the look of it.no matter what class it is..Great color, and love the white walls.
wraith Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Very nice looking 55! I have a slightly beat up AMT 55 in the stash/parts box bin that I have often thought about doing this to. That or it someday will become a straight 6 rat rod! lol! Just what I need another project! lol! I I dig this out it's your fault! lol!
