Kaleb Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) Did not really have a title for this, so if you want post more pictures if you see cars that could be built. I dont know if anything is like this but here goes. Edited July 26, 2010 by Kaleb
Railfreak78 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Since I LOVE hearses and Caddys I will not mention what I want to do to that owner. Gregg will ban me. This is also coming from someone that Loves cars on 4x4 frames as well.
Kaleb Posted July 25, 2010 Author Posted July 25, 2010 whew good thing im not the owner lol, I kept seeing this when I go to the lake I think they add something every once in awhile. They do better work than this...at least I think the other cars are their work. If I ever see them again I think there is a couple 80 model vettes around here with 454's and 44 super swampers.
Railfreak78 Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I think the main thing that turns me off is the tractor set up. And it's not done right like cleaned up. The front bumper is falling off and such. Years ago here in the Phoenix area there was a guy in a lifter pink Caddy hearse on 39's ( I think. They were to skinny to be gumbo mudders) and his drive line was like a barber shop pole lol. There was also a guy with a show quality 72 Chevelle on 44's and a guy in Prescott area with a 67 Mustang on 39's. I like the look if they are not "thrown" together. Now me: I'd snatch that body and make a hot rod hearse out of it . I actually do like the direction the truck is going though.
RodneyBad Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 That is one Bad looking Hearse. Really Bad looking here is another really bad looking car I drove by it and snapped a pic with my phone. You don't even want to see it up close. If ya saw it up close, you'd even cry a little. Purely jacked up for getting looks as ya drive by. Not Drivable at all in any way. Body rusted and banged up soo bad there are Panels pop riveted on to cover the holes. I don't even think it could roll.
highway Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I don't even think it could roll. If it could roll, it needs to be rolled over the nearest cliff!!!
GOTH KUSTOMS Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 That is a sick looking hearse, ( and not in a good way) I hope if Evilone decides to build one like this it comes out cherry
evilone Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 (edited) I will gladly announce that there will never be a build up of a lifted hearse in my future nor a actual lifted hearse.I view them as a disrespect towards those who have rode in it as well as their families.Basically to me lifting a hearse is as bad as pissing on a persons grave. On a good note though if someone would tell me what year it is i will gladly build a RESPECTFULL hearse if i can find the kit and or the resin conversion Edited July 26, 2010 by evilone
brett Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 yep that hearse is so wrong on so many levels but I think my 50 chev truck has finally found its new direction
Junkman Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 Neither of them do anything for me. But you are right, they would make nice modelling subjects for someone. On a different note: How plentiful are these hearses over there that they are destroyed in such big numbers with such laissez faire?
Kaleb Posted July 26, 2010 Author Posted July 26, 2010 (edited) The intention was not to post cars to build identical to, but to generate more ideas on what to build. I knew it being a hearse and a few that like them I decided to post it. Evilone no disrespect, or offence intended, anyone else no offence intended. I for one need ideas on what to do with build ups im more of the build them and put them on the shelf and tackle the next one. Edited July 26, 2010 by Kaleb

On a good note though if someone would tell me what year it is i will gladly build a RESPECTFULL hearse if i can find the kit and or the resin conversion Ludicrous, disgusting & stupid looking, (in both cases). I am so sick of thrown together "rat rods" & other cobbled up junk like that hearse that I could puke. That mailbox for a "scoop" is just plain ridiculous, not to mention the other horrid "custom" modifications performed on that poor truck. I love customs & rods, but for crying out loud, have a vision of what you want to achieve when you do something like that, & not; "If I throw this on here, & that on there, I'll have something! Chrome valve covers & an OEM alternator with that mailbox as a scoop would be cool! I'm going to make the firewall out of treadplate & the bed out of old signs, & leave the bodywork rough & unfinished cause that's 'cool' now!" There's no accounting for taste or the lack thereof. Those two things, (I hesitate to call them vehicles), offend my aesthetic sensibilities in every possible way. I swear, some people's parents should have laid off the LSD during conception & pregnancy!!! Both of you have summed up my thoughts so well I shan't repeat what has already been said. Charlie Larkin

On a different note: How plentiful are these hearses over there that they are destroyed in such big numbers with such laissez faire? At least around here, they aren't, Christian. Not much is; salt on roads in the winter, salt air for coastal cars, and the ruthless hand of time conspire to take too many off the road. Hearses in general aren't that plentiful in the U.S. A good year for a particular model is a buildout that goes over a couple hundred in a model year. The production numbers for commercial chassis will bear this out. Charlie Larkin
sjordan2 Posted July 26, 2010 Posted July 26, 2010 I would suggest that this was designed for loading a coffin into an elevated, above-ground mausoleum.

Its the fact that someone took a hearse and disrespected it as a attempt to be cool. I know for a fact in other countries such as asian countries if you got a hearse and did this you would be in deep trouble as the hearses there are a derect link to the dead. Here in the states we don't care about the dead and disrespect them by destroying their last rides. If i got the adress of every that lifted or disrespected hearses i would have warehouses full of hearses waiting to get their dignity back. I will how ever say that posting this did give me ideas to build a diorama full of hearses being repaired and customized(respectfully that is LOL) so i will thank you for that Edited July 27, 2010 by Bluesman Mark Inappropriate Content
Harold Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 I bet it would be tough for the pallbearers to get the coffin in that one ("heave ho, boys!").
Jon Cole Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 If someone has the talent and skill to build that Chevy pickup, then they have the skill and talent to do it right! It may not be "rat", but it is "unfinished". It's no longer always an issue of money, as I think many feel this "half-baked" look = "kewl!" Really want to stretch your skill... and show off your talent? Then finish the ###### thing!
Kaleb Posted July 27, 2010 Author Posted July 27, 2010 Speaking of last rides, I talked to a funeral director about being taken in the back of a lifted silverado, he said it can be arranged.
