BHarrison Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 This is a model of a 1933 Speedstar Coupe. These bodies were made famous by Alloway's Rod Shop and produced by Rat's Glass here in East TN. I used a Resin 33 Ford salt flat car to build it. It uses an Aluminum drop beam front end, has aluminum coil overs all the way around and is painted with House of Kolor paint. The flames are painted on and cleared over. Its been done a few years but I just signed on here and wanted ot share a few builds.
Danno Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Sweet! Another really nice build! Welcome to MCM, Bryan.
BHarrison Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Thanks Danno for your compliments on this and the other thread!

bigmikevee Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Hey Bryan, Wow, another nice car to share with us, first the Camaro, now this, what's your next surprise, love your work already, thanks for posting this one too! Mike
Peter Lombardo Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 Wow, that is beautiful.....really sweet.....great color and flame combo. Workmanship and attention to detail like this will do the Art Deco Dual Cowl proud. I can't wait to see what you do to that one.
vizio93 Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Wow your builds look really good man, and this one looks killer !!! I though I had one of these bodies sitting around somewhere, now you make me want to find it and build it Nice job Bryan
Sixties Sam Posted August 17, 2010 Posted August 17, 2010 Wow! That is nice! Great flame painting job! One question: to my 61 yr. old eyes it looks like the top of the front coils/shocks are not attached to anything. Are there pins that stick out behind the grille shell that I can't see? Excellent work! Sam

Excellent work! Sam The shock mounts come through the body work very simply on these cars. They were a simple little shiny shock stud in most cases. It makes the 90 degree bend bend the shock eyes.
