John Teresi Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 (edited) Hello......this is something I have been working on......as you can see I don`t like to waste extra kit bodies......so I grafted a 69 Thunderbird front clip and a 69 Thunderbird rear quarter panels and rear end to a 66 Chevelle station wagon......covered the side windows for a panel look........added the middle part of the Chevelle hood to the middle of theThunderbird hood.......I did a little custom work to the rear wheel area....custom made bumpers........added some mirrors......it will be fully wired and plumbed.......almost ready for primmer......I will keep you posted if interested.......thank`s http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv282/JOHN561320/DSCF3001.jpg{/IMG] Edited August 21, 2010 by John Teresi
Custom Mike Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 John, this is just plain sick! I love what you've got so far, what kind of motor have you got in mind? And yes, I'm definitely interested in more!
Space Cowboy Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Wow that is one wild ride. Great imagination..
MoparWoman Jamie Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 I love it also! I'm trying to make hides or tails out of it all yet. LOL Nice phatom model.
John Teresi Posted August 21, 2010 Author Posted August 21, 2010 John, this is just plain sick! I love what you've got so far, what kind of motor have you got in mind? Romell R Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 John my brotha i am sooo impressed with your building skills, truely you are a man without limits. outstanding Man! and yes im interested
Kombi Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Wow, I was curious what I'd see here, but I wasn't expecting what you've done. It will be cool to see how you finish this one.
Rick R Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Neat piece, very adventurous! Just me, I'm not sure about the slats... I remember one car a few years ago that used something similar, a 50s Buick IIRC, but it was kinda 'temporary'. I'd rather see the wheel wells match, just my $.02... I like the bumpers, too. You have a potential killer car here, stay on it and it'll kick b&tt in a little while!
Railfreak78 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 John at first I did not like the mix of Ford and Chevy with the front and rear shots but wow you won me over. I am a HUGE wagon fan I really like where this is going.
Danno Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 John, my buddy, that is just nothing short of OUTRAGEOUS!! Way off the too kewl end! Holymoly. Can't wait to see the progress on this one. Keep it up! Wooo hooo ~~~ (Excuse me while I go trash all my custom projects. John has crashed the house!)
Jim0205 Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Wow! that is gorgeous the flow and lines. Stunning amd I am speechless.
SSNJim Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Very creative. The T-Bird is a 69, and Modelhaus has the stock tail lights for it. I'll be looking forward to seeing the final version.
David G. Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 That's pretty wild, you sure do know how to work styrene. Changing the rear wheels must be tricky, though.
crazyjim Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 Amazing work you're doing, John. Should be interesting to follow. I can just imagine the painting you're going to do.
1320wayne Posted August 21, 2010 Posted August 21, 2010 That is simply wild, John. I love the way you've made everything seem to flow together. Have you possibly thought about lowering the front wheelwells as they appear to be much larger than what you have going on in the rear. Just a thought. Either way it looks awesome.
