1966 Nova

Here's my newly completed Nova Pro Street model. It's finished in HOK Oriental Blue Kandy over a silver base, cleared with Plast-i-kote Super Clear and then Tamiya clear pearl TS65. Mostly box parts used but I added a rollbar, seatbelts, wiring, and exhaust system. Vietnam Vets might get a kick out of the rear license plate.

I used the base for a new diorama I'm going to build. It's floor tile glued to a piece of oak.

Man. You guys are like vultures out there - just waiting. Thanks for the positive comments. I meant to say in there that I also used embossing powder for the first time. I think I like flocking better. Have a great night fellas.

Great job! The Roll cage came out real nice. I'm surprised this kit didn't include a roll cage since it's a Pro Street kit.

Thank you. I thought a rollbar was appropriate. Should have been in the kit but wasn't so I hit the parts stash to find something that would work. I'd like to build another but leave out the rear seat and try to make the interior look like it's aluminum.

Very, very, very nice, like the stance a lot and think the roll bar looks great too!! Great color, did you use your have-paint-booth-will-travel or did ya just spray in the garage? Think it looks great, thanks for posting!!

Yes, Mike, I used the spray booth. I originally had the booth near the shop's overhead door. When I wanted to pull out the dune buggy, the booth had to be moved. We've sold the buggy and I've rearranged the shop so it doesn't had to be moved anymore. Besides that, the tool cart I used for the base came with wheels.
