Jon Cole Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Ba-Zinga! You built the one I always wanted! And you did it good!
DRG Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 That is amazing. The darn thing looks real. Another great one by a true arist.
Ben Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 that's about as funny as a funny car gets! LOL Very nice work!!!! (as always!)
Modelmartin Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Very cool! I always liked the oddball funny cars.
noname Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 That is a nice and unusual subject matter. And of course you always do a good job. I bet that looks good sitting on your shelf.
W-409 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Eldorado Funny Car...?! Haven't ever seen this before, but it looks very nice as always, Body opening from the back, very rare. But it's nice, great detailing as always and paintjob looks very nice too, so it's very nice model!!!
greasezerk Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Wow!!!! I am just amazed at how clean your builds are! I sure enjoy seeing them!
superdog Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 (edited) ................EPIC BADNESS............... Edited September 11, 2010 by superdog
Len Geisler Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 John, AMAZING job as always....I picked this kit up from Speed City also, I saved a couple of your pics for reference, hope ya dont mind. Againm great build...
Chuck Most Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 Sweet indeed! Who'd have thunk a gigantic Cadoo would look so good as a funny car? And the forward tilting body would be great if your pit crew forgot to strap it shut before you made a pass!
rustybill1960 Posted September 11, 2010 Posted September 11, 2010 another one john thanks for sharing later russ
RTK434 Posted September 12, 2010 Posted September 12, 2010 Another killer build John! I really like the off the beaten path subject matter you choose. That combined with your super clean building style. Waiting to see what you post up next!
6bblbird Posted September 14, 2010 Posted September 14, 2010 Wow! John, if your models were classed as home runs (and they are), you would be Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron, and Mickey Mantle all rolled into one! WF
Foxer Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) ..foil......alclad paint... Your metals are always so realistic looking. Can I ask specifically what paint you used for the interior panels? Edited October 6, 2010 by Foxer
dustym Posted October 6, 2010 Posted October 6, 2010 You really must have a shrink ray. I have been looking at your builds and they are truly amazing. Way to go.
John Teresi Posted October 6, 2010 Author Posted October 6, 2010 Your metals are always so realistic looking. Can I ask specifically what paint you used for the interior panels? Hi Mike.......most of the time I use Alclad paint .....but on this model I used Chrome paint that I bought at Pep Boys.........I can`t remember what brand it was because I have no more.......that is why I use alclad paint now.....the alclad is 100 times better looking........and sometimes I weather it down with "Folk Art" dark gray acrylic paint that I buy at Michaels arts and crafts store.......they cost about 89 cents a bottle.......hope this helped......thank`s
