Hello again,

This is my first time doing any sort of scratch building, its fun and ill do it again here is what I did

Fender skirts are sheet styrene, bedcover is grooved sheet styrene, visor is from the front of the trailer from the silhouette model cut up and formed, I used solder for the exhaust , I frenched the antennas using metal tubes and push pins for antennas, frenched the taillights and used 1960 chevy taillights. I also lowered it because customs sit low, but I guess revell doesn't know that.

I had a lot of fun with this model, I've been building 60's show cars and its nice to have some creativity.

I had some problems with the paint ( I do every time, but less and less on each build) and a few other things here and their but let me know what you fine folks think

cheers

It's looking very nice. Like these old school style custom cars. Engine looks very good, nice detailing on it. But two things: Those exhaust pipes are very good ones, but I've ever seen they going like this. I'm not a fan of those, but they look cool at the same time... And the other thing, now one would just put his trophies to the bed without any rope to keep they in the place. Those are just little things, it's very, very nice model, those wheels and tires are looking awesome! ;)

Thanks for the complements, I have seen a few truck with the exhaust ran like this and thought it was cool so I thought i would give it a go, their is a awesome local mid 50's chevy that has em ran like this. the trophies were and last minute idea so I just tossed them in the bed like the guy didnt care too much about winning trophies.

I really like the two tone paint you applied. I especially like all the things that you added that were "first tries". Well done, and thanks for posting.

The paint looks pretty good from here and I like all those touches you added. Gives an overall good look and different from the norm.

Really nice truck, looks cool!

I have seen exhaust done that way back when I was a kid!

A farmers kid did that on his 53 Ford truck! Was really obnoxious if you were riding in the trck because everything vibrated from the harmonics!

Thanks, the flathead came with the kit, with the ardun heads, you have a eagle eye I would of never seen that with my blurry pic.

I was thinking about how loud it would be, but that can be part of the fun sometimes

thanks for all the nice words from everybody (even criticism helps me)
