Anniversarys

Recommended Posts

I really have never had an significant other, But I think that it is really good that you are living together, it is a kind of trial to see how a marriage would work out. Also it is very good that you are remembering the Anniversary, it may not mean much to you, but such a small thing does to her. Keep these sort of things in mind while you are with her, and she will appreciate you more and more :D . I wish I was as lucky as you are right now :) .

Me and my wife have been together 20 years. We actually have been married twice. Once about 12 years ago and then again on October 4th about 9 years ago.

The first marriage was with a Justice of Peace and the second was through a Catholic priest.

We were never big with celebrating anniversaries. With 3 kids and all the Catholic holidays we do enough celebrating.:D

Congratulations to all, some monumental marriages here. In this day and age we are the minority.

Lets see,

#1- I'm not sure how long it lasted. I was sent on an all expense paid vacation to SE Asia, and she left during that time. Didn't see her for 20+ years.

#2- 23 years, until she decided she liked girls better than boys.

#3- 16 months. 20 years younger, hot, and crazy as a loon.

#4- We celebrated one year as of September 14. Met her when we arrested one of her employees. She was Director of Casino Operations, and has since retired because, in her words, "I want to be a housewife for once in my life." Quite the keeper this one.

Which time? Marcia is my third wife. We met in Illinois for about 6 months, moved to FLA in December and got married in January. We were going to get married as soon as we got here but decided to wait until some biker friends could make it down from Illinois. January 28 will be nine years for us.

Just celebrated year number 45. She's a sweet Scottish lass that I imported back in 1965 while serving with the USAF in Scotland. She has been very kind and understanding about my hobby of being a gearhead, both in 1:1 and model cars.

Although I'm starting to get a bit worried as she has finally decided to join me in the hobby craze and has taken over ( actually I gave up part of my hobby workshop ), so she can do her stained glass mosaics. Why, I even was generous enough to buy her some of her own tools.

We even work in the hobby workshop at the same time and haven't had an argument yet. Life is GOOD !!!!

My wonderful wife & I will be celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary February 25th, & we lived together for six months before getting married.

We met online, (yes we are one of those couples that met that way!), in 2003 & in real life in 2004. Once we worked out the best way to solve the distance issue, (I lived in NC then & she lived up here in Iowa), we were a full time couple.

B)

Hey mark. I to met mine online. We knew each other for about 5 years before we decided to meet in person, we went through rock bottom with each other and both came out alive.

We finally met in person last december, we had to solve a distance issue as well, shes from Maryland, and im from Texas.

I remember the first time i brought her down here and showed her what a real texas drive way looks like, she thought it was a back road

theres alot of really long lasting marriges here, i can only hope that mine will last that long B)
