Danno Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 It was nice knowing both of you guys..... LOL. Nothing I wouldn't ... and haven't ... said to Gregg in person. But it helps that we're pots and kettles ... can't call each other black without calling ourselves out ... and, I can't point a finger at him without four of 'em pointing back at me. That's why they call me the Unfinished Model King!

sjordan2 Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 I've said this before and I'll say it again: I think MCM could save some money in printing and mailing, and apply it to upgrade their production quality (more color, etc.), if they would go to a lighter weight of paper. Check out TIME, and even Scale Auto, and you'll see what I'm talking about. I have magazines going back to the 60s that still look great and don't need archive quality paper – Road & Track, Car and Driver and many more.
peter31a Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Yay! A Hawaiian Canoe dropped off issue 152 on the shores of Georgian Bay today.
Harry P. Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Yay! A Hawaiian Canoe dropped off issue 152 on the shores of Georgian Bay today. Not to burst your bubble... but the magazine is printed and shipped from Denver...
Chuck Most Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Not to burst your bubble... but the magazine is printed and shipped from Denver... A giant Denver omlette canoe dropped it off, then.
peter31a Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Yeah and then from Denver they ship it back to Hawaii where they load it on a Hawaiian canoe and from there the fellow paddles to Georgian Bay to leave me a copy.... C'mon Harry work with me here....
Jon Cole Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 Mine arrived yesterday. That's all that matters. Sooner or later, the mag arrives. Meantime, maybe Gregg could start... a web site for us model geeks? Something to pass the time between... what? Huh? Oh... Nevermind.
Guest Johnny Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 A giant Denver omlette canoe dropped it off, then. Dang it Chuck! Now all I can think about is going to Dennys for breakfast! Come on guys, cut Gregg some slack here! Afterall he has provided this great sight for us all to enjoy!
george 53 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Got mine Yesterday. So us Deeeetroiters gots they's. B)
crazyjim Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Yo George. Florida is further from Denver than Detroit. How come we get the magazine on the same day? Terrific issue isn't it? Can't wait for the #153. Hey, Gregg - when's the next issue coming out?
mikemodeler Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Well Jim, North Carolina is between Michigan and Florida and no issue here yet!!!!!! It will probably show up on Monday when I won't have time to read it for a week. Based on the date the August/September issue arrived, I would guess that the October issue will come after Christmas.
crazyjim Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 Bummer, Mike. It'll probably be blamed on the post office.
Monte's Motors Posted November 10, 2010 Posted November 10, 2010 I'm sure I'll be very happy when I do get mine. Just don't have it yet.
