I've been trying since Sunday to get to the MCM forum through IE. I keep getting the message that the website doesn't exist. But I'm getting email notices through aol to replies so people evidently are getting through.

Now I'm in a hotel in Washington, DC and can get to the forum but not to aol. I don't know what to do.

Jim, I've been having some problems as well the past week or so. But I don't get "website can't be found", I get "Forbidden" posted on the screen. This just keeps gettin stranger and stranger.

I'm having similar issues with the Google Browser on my 4 year old cell phone, it keeps telling that their engineers are jumping on to figure out what's going on and fix the problem ;) I haven't tried the Yahoo browser yet, I may have to do that sometime soon, see if the problem exists there too............

I had a problem getting the FORBIDDEN screen for around an hour the other day. I'm on Mozilla-Firefox, which has been in general very stable for me on Mac, so I think the problem would be somewhere besides, or in addition to, the browser (on Mac, you can occasionally lose your Internet connection altogether because the wi-fi Airport router and Firefox can stop talking to each other).

This time the problem was with the host server, not our browsers... because all of us were getting strange error messages, no matter what browser we are on. Whatever the problem was, it's fixed now.

BTW... Firefox is the best browser out there, IMO. If you've never tried it, try it. It's free, very stable, and automatically updates itself constantly.

For the record and not for nothing but I haven't had those problems on dialup.I think I'm running IE 6 or 7.Upgrades are suppose to meen better,I thought, but they never are.

I have IE8, and my problem is most pics here are red x's. Is it because I have dialup?

No, it's because you are using a Microsoft browser!

Dialup refers only to the speed of transmission, it has nothing to do with your web browser or what you see or don't see. It's like a garden hose. If you have a small hose (dialup), it'll take longer to fill up a bucket than if you had a big hose (DSL)... but the water is still water. The small hose (dialup) just takes longer to deliver it.

You need to get a better browser, like Firefox.

It was probably a "burp"

I know, those technical terms, I should put it in plain English

It was probably a "burp"

No worries

Was a database cache error, I think

No worries

Google Mozilla Firefox and download it. It is free and far superior ro IE.

I know sometime about a week ago I was having heck of issues at getting around the site here, I mean I would click on a thread or a link at the top and it seem it would take like afew minutes just for the stuff to kick in. I time one and it took at least 30 seconds before it did anything. Then at times I would get "Couldn't find the site" and at times I would get the "500 error" as well when I was trying to get around the site here. Just so you know I'm using Firefox as a browser and have been sense back in around May of this year. I can go to any other sites and have no issue at all at getting them to load or getting around them at all.. it's only this site. :(
