Had it's engine block halves glued together, oh well I would have had to do it anyway. Color is Duplicolor Tuxedo Black, the Tires are from the parts box. Without clear with clear and decals Edited December 20, 2010 by Nick Winter

Matt P Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Nick, nice start on this Vette. The interior work looks great. I didn't know you build cars that don't have 01 on the side!

I get that a lot, actually I've never built a single DOH car or truck, Love the show, don't have any intrest in building the cars.
sjordan2 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 (edited) The interior is excellent. And the body looks just as rippled as the original's bad fiberglass finish. Edited December 1, 2010 by sjordan2
Nick Winter Posted December 2, 2010 Author Posted December 2, 2010 forget the Daisy's Jeep that you built? Didn't build it for myself, built it for a my uncle who's a bigger fan than me. The interior is excellent. And the body looks just as rippled as the original's bad fiberglass finish. thank you.
Longbox55 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Lookin' good there, Nick. One suggestion, if you're looking for accuracy, swap the wheels for the wheels from the Revell '67 Chevelle. The wheels in the 'Vette kit are incorrect for a '67, they were last used on the '66. I know that lots of '67s have them, but they are aftermarket installations, not OE.

Harry P. Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Nick, the progress you've shown on your builds is amazing. It's like we all watched you "grow up" right here on the forum. You've come a long way, your skills have improved dramatically. Keep it up.
Modlbldr Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Nick- Harry beat me to it. As I was looking down through the pix of your build I was thinking that your building skills have improved dramatically since I first saw your builds. It's strange that also as I was looking at this post I thought "I don't remember sending him this kit. I have one that the block halves are glued together and that the body is primered. The first couple of pictures look just like mine. Keep it up Nick. That interior is looking great. Later-

Wow Thanks Harry, that well...........means quite a bit..........where's the tissue(Kidding)................but it does mean a lot to hear a builder like you say that. Nick- Harry beat me to it. Later- Thanks Tom, I appreciate the very kind words, You didn't send me this one although I've got one on the bench you did, guess I need to post it here huh.....as my late grandfather would say "I'll get around to it" .
Nick Winter Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Did some mock up and went to finish the engine only to find the distrubuter sheild ain't in there So I can't move any farther, till I find one. Nick
Nick Winter Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 Nice work. Nice color scheme too. Thanks, I just happened to read that article in MCM and Go "I bet that would look good on the Roadster" Had a break through last night, Remembered I had a AMT '67 Camaro Z28 with the '67 style rallye's in my stash that I bought a while ago mostly for the engine. if they fit I'll use the rallyes instead. Nick
horsepower Posted December 16, 2010 Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) Just a thought, but if you black out the radio, you don't need the distributor cover, they were not installed on radio delete cars. But then you would have to put in a distributor. Edited December 16, 2010 by horsepower
Nick Winter Posted December 16, 2010 Author Posted December 16, 2010 True I wouldn't but then I would. If that makes sense
