Lyle Willits Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Excellent resin, chopped '37 Chevy from Drag City Casting ( Ed Fluck). Skirts made from sheet plastic. '41 Chevy truck headlights. Fully detailed 6 cylinder. Bob Dudek polished aluminum valve cover. Fully detailed interior that can't be seen !! Chromed, resin Caddy somberos ( no idea who made them ) with clear red resin centers detailed with gold foil. Lowered any way I could because I'm not going to display it upside down.
Bernard Kron Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 So much that''s so right about this finely detailed early postwar custom. You really got the most out of Ed's great chop job. Bravo!
W-409 Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Awesome job on this! Paintjob looks very good, shiny and smooth. Color is just perfect too... Engine looks very good to me, detailing is amazing. Great wheel and tire combo, great to see old school styled custom Chevy. It would be just a bit lower, but it's not bad! Great.
Lyle Willits Posted December 22, 2010 Author Posted December 22, 2010 It would be just a bit lower, but it's not bad! The only way to get this lower is to grind the tops of the tires off.
Peter Lombardo Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Boy that is smoooooth. The engine detailing is first rate and the color sets it off perfectly. I think the headlights were a great little touch too....they look very natural on her. No surprises here, another beautiful "era perfect" Hot Rod.
carrucha Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 Sweet little custom. Nice engine detailing. Very good job.
Daniel Peterson Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 Nicely executed, Lyle! The engine compartment is sweet.
Danno Posted December 28, 2010 Posted December 28, 2010 1. Beautiful rod, Lyle. An excellent rendition of a traditional hot rod! 2. Anything that gets a comment out of Mr. Peterson (who has been way too absent from these hallowed pages) is worthy of an extra superlative or two! Wow! Welcome back, Lyle and Daniel!
