The Modeling Hermit Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 This is a project that kept me busy for awhile. It's mostly straight from the box, except that I turned the 10 hole wheels into 2 hole, and changed out the rear wheels for spiders. I was nice and gave my mini driver air conditioning, which he/she better appreciate, because that's something that I don't often do.
The Modeling Hermit Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 I had to run off for a minute before I was actually done with the post, but the trailer isn't finished yet. I still have some detail work left, and I'm going to be decaling for my own fictitious company.
cowboysevens Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 thats a good lookin set, the paint job looks great!! nice work doug
Jim B Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Looks good. I like it. Is that telephone wire for the air lines?
The Modeling Hermit Posted January 10, 2011 Author Posted January 10, 2011 James, that's wire from an old blue ethernet cable. I've got a couple of hundred feet of that around here, so I should be ste up for awhile.
kilrathy10 Posted March 1, 2014 Posted March 1, 2014 This looks GREAT!!!! I dig the colors....And, it sits level.....Very nice work....Still trying to figure out why mine won't.....Makes me want to get back to it and see what I can do with it.....Amazing work....
Custom Hearse Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Nice job! I've never had the pleasure (?) of building the Freightliner cabover, but it looks like you did an excellent job on it!
The Modeling Hermit Posted March 2, 2014 Author Posted March 2, 2014 I never did give a completed photo for it. This is what it looks like in it's final glory.
camaro68 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Very nice love the old cabovers also love the colors on this great job !!!!
kilrathy10 Posted March 2, 2014 Posted March 2, 2014 Yes, Sir....This does look pretty darned cool....I really like the colors.....I'd love to see some more pics of this thing, though....It's very nice work.....Like I said, before, it's motivating me to break my, recently, completed model and get that thing to sit level.....Awesome work.....
purepmd Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Good looking combo, very sharp. Before I saw the trailer, I thought it was going to be an International Transport rig. They had an owner - operator fleet that wore those colors. Love the sly humor in the moving company name, clever.
FLD120 Posted March 18, 2014 Posted March 18, 2014 Good colors and I like the wheels! One thing I found out is the trucks always look better with Dayton wheels or two hole Buds instead of the chrome 10 hole sets. Great build.
