Jeff Johnston Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Here is my 68 Firebird Sprint OHC-six. Verdoro Green with vinyl top. The OHC 6 is from the AMT 69 Firebird kit. Painted redline wheels. Open doors, etc.
MrObsessive Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 SUPER clean job Jeff and LOVE that Verdoro Green! Your opening doors are exceptionally well done! Nice to see a Firebird done other than the standard big block V8!
Jon Cole Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Another kick-butt model, Jeff! Don't see six banger Poncho's too often!
mikelo Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Wow!! Very nice! Nice combo, and love the hood. Mike

highway Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Very nice Jeff, it looks like that AMT engine was made for that kit.

rick6343 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Looks great! I have both of those kits ready to build the same subject. I have a question about the hood: Is it the resin piece I've seen advertised somewhere? Are the emblems on the hood photo-etched? If so, who makes them. Thanks,
Olskoolrodder Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 AWESOME build and SWEET subject matter!
kelson Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Great looking build!,just one question did you have to make any adjustments to the motor mounts to get the six cylinder to fit?

Thanks, yes the hood is a resin piece from Scale Equipment Limited. The photo etch kit was from Model Car Garage.
Jeff Johnston Posted January 19, 2011 Author Posted January 19, 2011 Great looking build!,just one question did you have to make any adjustments to the motor mounts to get the six cylinder to fit? no major adjustments. It all fits in there and it kind of sits on the oil pan. Low tech lol :-)
