Lyle Willits Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 (edited) AMT Phantom Vickie cowl grafted to a Revell roadster body and channeled over the frame. Phantom Vickie chassis with AMT Wagonrod LT5 engine and wheels. Interior parts from all 3 kits. A few odds and ends and a couple of scratchbuilt parts. Paint is Duplicolor silver with LOTS of Tamiya clear (because the hobby shop was out of Testors Wet Look Clear ) I didn't realize I screwed up and made the pictures disappear. Here they are. Foxer Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 whew! From the title I thought you did a rat rod ... but I like this! .. especially the few odds and ends.
Jon Cole Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Awesome Deuce! Is that a concave grille insert?
outlaw035 Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 lyle...thats an awesome 32...like everything about it and u did a grt8 job on those basically ugly seats...sweet....
RatRod Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Lyle, you old goat, you never cease to amaze me. Very nice to see you build something modern, and out of leftovers....
Sixties Sam Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Great looking rod! It's a good blend of traditional and modern elements. Nice! Sam
Duntov Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Wow ....this is cool...from the description it does not sound like it would work but you certainly nailed a fine looking build..... I really like it when multiple parts and elements come together....you did a fine job on this car!!! Regards Bill (Duntov)
Greg Pugh Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Great build Lyle. I'm a big fan of your work. Looks like the ladies are too!
Lyle Willits Posted February 21, 2011 Author Posted February 21, 2011 Thanks for the nice comments. Somehow, I screwed up and didn't know that the pictures were gone.
James2 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Spare Parts! What a great project. From the stance to all of the body mods, the interior and the slight chassis changes. I like it. Re-scribing the panels and the tail lights caught my eye first, along with the color.
93Z34 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Absolutely gorgeous looking '32. The color and flames really pop to get your attention and then everything else just falls into place. Definitely a head turning rod, that's for sure. Sometimes the parts box builds surpass anything you can find in a kit and this is a prime example of that concept. Fantastic work!!!
Trae Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Great work, Lyle! Is that an MCG grille insert?
Greg Pugh Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Somebody might want to let that girl know that her left cheek is hangin' out a bit!
ChrisR Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Excellent combination of spare parts! Very nice built.
maltsr Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Thanks for restoring the pics... now I can see what everybody else was raving about!! Stunning job
Chris C Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 I like! Nice to see a deuce that looks like it would go round corners!
Peter Lombardo Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 Very nice Lyle, this is a nice compilation of parts.....I find it rather "cheeky".
LoneWolf15 Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Somebody might want to let that girl know that her left cheek is hangin' out a bit! What ? And spoil the fun ?
Hakan ERYILMAZ Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Definitely a super job Lyle.Congrats my friend.
Tonioseven Posted February 27, 2011 Posted February 27, 2011 I don't think it gets much cooler than this!!!
