This is the end result of a 2 week build, mini tubbed the rear and added a ford 9" rear end, wide low profile tires on 23" sleeves using the kit custom wheels, used a TPI from a 90's Camaro on the kit engine and parts box headers and air intake. paint is Duplicolor Med garnet Red and Tamiya white.

Thanks for looking,

Dave

Great looking 55'chevy. How did you mini tub the rear end and how did you widen the wheel wells.Do you have pics of the underside of the car that shows the rearend.

The mini tub was just deepening the stock wheel wells to the frame, then just add some styrene to fill in the new part of the wheel well and done, easy except with this car the stock leaf springs run inside the frame and coundn't be used. I used the suspension from the Revell 32 highboy for this, Here is the underside of the car and a stock chassis for the convertable i am building.

Must be a traveling paint guy that likes red and white, hmmmmm. Your looks great, i like the rear suspension set up on it. The same guy didn't get ahold on my Vert, It got painted Testors Lime Ice.
