Chris, GREAT work bud, the chassis mods are looking outstanding. B) B)

Dropping in on an irregular basis as I do, it's always a great pleasure (and joy) scanning your updates man.

Virgil... Thanks buddy! I was very impressed how well the purple pond worked on this one.

Hey Greg.... I think I feel off my rocker or maybe its the fact that I have put too many hours in at work lately. I need a break from work and more Bench time on this build  . Thanks for the compliments on this build. I am planning on doing some more work on this tonight and in hopes that I leave on time from work. I am still planning on having the chassis updated by the end of the week..... Cheers!! B)

Rob... Thank you for the kind words. It has taken alot of practice and many years to get where I am now with building.

Joe...(BigDaddy) Here are a couple of pics of the front tires and spindles to show you.

Ok so last night I was able to sit at the bench for about an hour and made a little more progress on the chassis. And after looking at things I have thought up a plan at how the rest of the tubing will be laid out on the chassis. So hopefully tonight I will be able to make some more progress. Here are a couple of pics to share. Thanks for looking.

Started out by adding some upper support tubing:

Then added some lower support tubing:

Chris, the amount of true prototype replicating your putting into this build it's going to be killer!

Hey, when you get it done I'll trade you $100.00 worth of parts for it  hahahahaha....................................

Man Chris, if that chassis was painted black you wouldn't even be able to tell you made changes to it! Nice job on the updates....

Sounds like we have a bidding war going on here for your finished project! Sorry I am broke... Christmas got to my wallet to beat out Jim and his bid. Only if Scale Hardware put in a bid, I am sure Chris would bite then... lol since he has so much stock in scale nuts and bolts.

great work, chris. glad to hear it's almost ready for primer. it's been a long haul for you to get here. congrats. on this short step in a long journey. keep up the great work!

Jim... Rasing the stakes huh?....

Bart... Thanks man, I am happy with how the chassis is shaping up so far. I have been going back and forth on the type of black I was thinking of using for the frame. It will either have a House of Kolor BC25 black base with clear over it, possibly add a slight flatening agent to it or I was thinking of some Alclad graphite black color I have of theirs ( although I need to spray this and see how it actually looks in person). An you are right I have so many nuts and bolts from Scale Hardware it isn't funny...  I could take a pic of my nut n bolts box :P

Dave... Thanks Buddy, I think I can get a good portion of the rest of the chassis done possibly tonight. Don't want to Jinx myself But I will still need to get the roll cage back on. I can't wait to have the chassis in primer. But then again I have alot of other work between the Engine, Body and little details to do. You are right that this is a short step for this long journey and it will pay off. I am just anxious to see some paint on some parts.....tired of looking at plastic...

Danno.... Thanks man. Yeah no pressure at all huh?? LOL I was really wanting this project done by February and with work the way it is. I am afraid I may not hit that date due to work at the moment. But we will see what I can have done by then. Maybe now that the Chassis refab work is just about done, some of the other stuff may starte to move faster for me.

Was able to get a little more bench time in last night and here is a couple more pics of the chassis....

Adding more Tube:

Driver cage area just about done. need to add another tube for the seat rest/mounting point and add the roll cage:

Shane... Thanks man. felt like I made some progress last night and I should have the support tubes that go by the engine area done tonight. getting.closer to having this chassis rework done.

Hey Guys.... Thanks for all of the kind words and for following along

I was able to make some more progress last night on the chassis. I have a few more things to do.... like adding a tube support for the seat. I also need to modify the roll cage just a little bit, going to shorten it just a little and then add 2 more tubes to the side of it. I had edited one of the pics I have of this Vega car and noticed that Prudhomme's roll cage had a little mor support to it. Here are a couple of pics from last nights progress.....

Here is the tubing I added to the chassis around the engine area:
