I thought I was getting a second chance at life last Friday evening when the nurse told me that my Bloodwork was call clear . Supposedly, the antibioticI had been on in the hospital since last January had cleared all of the infection out ........ NOT!

I was informed by my doctor today at 3pmeastern that there is a signifigant amount of infectrion within my right shoulder . Since all I have is Medicare , I'm very limited as to what and how my treatment will be delivered .

I know I have made a couple of trade deals as well as made an agreement with Ian Ashton to do diorama masters for him . I feel terrible in not being able to make good on a business deal . I take any deal I make here on Model Cars as seriously as I take anything in life , ask those who really know me .

I just want everyone concerned here to know I may have to go back into a hospital soon for an unditermined amount of time . Even then, MRSA is a deadly desease and I have seen people die from it . If ya want to know hat may become of some of my dioramas , P- M George 53...........

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a bacterial infection that is highly resistant to some antibiotics.

Have faith Ed! One our grandsons has CF and he got a MRSA infection in his lungs a short while back. They got it cleared up in a couple weeks at the hospital. Ironically that is where he got it in the first place!

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers!

BTW medicare sucks! I'm in the same boat.(medicare only) But I do get some VA help but only if the condition is service related.

Gotta take care of yourself first, Ed. Dioramas can wait until you're well.

And Johnny - take a look at your VA card. If it says "Service Connected" under your picture, you're probably covered for everything. You might want to talk with a benefits service officer.

ED: you're in my thoughts. Pay attention to your doctors. Of all the things you can get, MSRA is not one you want.

 Hey Ed, We in this household wish you well, my friend - and we'll have you in our hearts and prayers regularly. Modern medicine can do some pretty wonderful things when combined with a good physician or specialist. We'll be praying that yours will be one who is gifted and capable - and that you will be in the absolute best care available.:lol::)

My prayers are with you, that's some nasty stuff. My son dealt with it off an on for almost a year before he beat it. Fight the fight, and win.

I've had MRSA a few times and it hurts like a mother.... But thanks to some antibiotics it cleared up, just have faith and you'll be fine my friend!

But the crapshoot is which one will work! A lot depends on the person and whether they have been on any one particular antibiotic recently as MRSA seems to grow resistant rather quickly to any one so they have to make sure to use non similar antibiotics if or when it comes back.

I can be a scarey thing. We lost a family friend to it last year, he was only 38!

That is what scares us todeath with the grandson. I know his mom and my wife both constantly worry it will come back and he won't be able to fight it off.
