Terry Sumner Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Got to get my knee fixed as it's getting harder and harder to walk on it. The Doc is gonna do some arthroscopic meniscus dremel tool work in there and get me fixed up. Did the same thing to my other knee almost 10 years ago and that one has been great ever since, so I have high hopes for this one turning out just as good! If I can get down the stairs into my shop ok I might have some free time to continue on the Mooneyes project!

retrobuilder Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Just had mine last wednesday. I had two torn miniskus and two cists. I have been off work since Feb 18th. My surgery went great, I am living in my basement(all one level)I go back to the Dr. tommorow and see whats up next. I akm still using a walker but the knee is ccertainly a lot better! Good luck with your surgery. My model tools are all upstairs, but I cant sit too long anyway.

I had a rotator cuff operated on almost 10/12 years ago, I was left with a 5 inch scar on my shoulder. in 07 I had the other shoulder done, for THE SAME thing, and this time, i'm left with 3 3/4 inch scars. Technology is advanceing SO fast, you should be up and around in NO time!! Good Luck my freind, and I WILL be praying for you!

Guest Johnny Posted March 22, 2011 Posted March 22, 2011 Terry! My wife says she feels your pain! She has had work done on both and is now to the point that she needs both replaced. They are relucktant to do it since her stroke last July and said 18 months has to pas before they will concider doing it. Plus they will only do one at a time due to her being on a blood thinner. One thing for sure. You will feel 100 times better after it heals!

Terry Sumner Posted March 22, 2011 Author Posted March 22, 2011 Well friends, I'm home now. I took the pain meds he prescribed and, since I never take anything, it knocked my lights out but quick! Woke up an hour ago and my son had made Tacos! Yeah...and boy was I hungry. Laying in bed now actually pain free! I think I'm not going to be a hero-idiot for once and actually listen to my Doctor and my wife and take those pain meds! No sense getting behind the 8 Ball I guess. Now to watch the UConn women's basketball game. Thanks so much for all your kind words...we have a great group of modelers and friends on this forum!

I had to leave by 1 PM or so to make it to a couple of other things in R.I and Mystic, Ct that I had to do. How did you like Guy Beaudette;s McLaren and Groundshaker? Awesome models!!!!
