Golf ball holders on the dash?

Yep, I forgot to fill the holes in the dash, no thats a lie, I was to darn lazy to do it, I am going to use the clipboard that comes in the kit to cover one of them up, the other, not sure what to do

Jonathan I like what you have done here so far. Lazy or not that is a fine build. Now if you would just attend shows I would be able to see these fine specimens up close and personal. Wazzamattah u? Skeered of the big man?

As far as golf ball holders , well I have found various and, should I say, unique ways to store items in a police car. :o

My favorite though was my final checkout ride in Traffic Safety aboard a Harley D Police Special. After cone drills and other slow speed manuvers I was informed the sergeant required a cup of coffee, NOW. Oh, and he wants it from a local joint about six blocks away. Cream and sugar please.

It should be sufficient to say that every napkin in the place rode back in my right saddlebag, safely cradling that oh so precious cup o' joe.

Thanks G, least someone shows some support around here ;)

Thats a funny story about the ohhh sooo very important cup-o-joe , I did laugh out loud , so were you surprised that all napkins help the coffee arrive still in the cup?

That reminds of the movie license to drive, and the driving test with the cup pf coffee on the dash of the Ford Escort

I was at Desert Scale this year, tell you what, if you come down for Desert Scale 2013, I will enter some of my builds so you can see my , *cough cough* craftsmanship work first hand

This time I will be at Desert Scale, Mrs G is making me attend. It would be good just to see you again my man.

P.S. I was surprised and grateful all the coffee remained where it was supposed to be.

Well, well, well.

"Thanks G, least someone shows some support around here ;)"

Really? Really?

Hey, G! Yer on! It'll be great to drag you down here for the DSC. We two old guys can show that young whippersnapper a thing or two!

Be sure to bring all your goods. Uh, except the tanks. This ain't IPMS! :D

That's very nice Oldsmobile! I haven't seen too many of them built as Police Cars, yours is good exception between those hundreds of Oldsmobile Customs (which are cool too). Nice and clean, nice paint job too.

Nice job, G! I can almost see a young Sergeant Dan Matthews patrolling Highway 101 practicing his oral boards responses for the future Superintendent's promotion.

Guess I should build one. Shoot! Guess I should build anything! ^_^

David,

The door stars say "California Highway Patrol" and the license plate is CA Exempt (government).

The "new" door stars (like G's model wears) started in 1949, but CHP didn't add the familiar "Highway Patrol" lettering archs over the door stars until 1959.
