Guest Gramps-xrds Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Just finished foilin this a couple of hrs ago. Turned out better than I expected. Must be on a 3/4 ton chassis, I just noticed I put 6 lug rims on it. lol Now that it's done I kinda like it. I just may have ta build the other 41 I've had for yrs. Before ya ask, Yes all the woods hand painted with artist acrylics. lol
sjordan2 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Well. that's just killer. Best woodwork I've seen on a model in years, amazing texture on the roof, great chrome trim. What's not to like?
crazyjim Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Way to go Gramps! Clean and shiny is always good. Your wood is excellent and would make for an interesting tutorial. What do you think?
Sixties Sam Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 Great looking woody! The wood looks completely real! Gotta love those old Ford woodies! Sam
charlie8575 Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 GREAT job on that wood, Bill! I'm dreading painting my '41 and '48. I'm half-tempted to cut it off and re-make the body with real wood. It might be easier! The rest of the model is just as nice. Excellent work. Charlie Larkin
ChrisR Posted April 27, 2011 Posted April 27, 2011 The paint job on the wood looks amazing. Very nice model.

Jim, I've been asked what I used and how I did it on several other forums, so I might just have ta do a tutorial. If I do, I'll post it here also. It's not really hard. It just takes a little time and patients.

carrucha Posted April 28, 2011 Posted April 28, 2011 Sweet woody wagon. Excellent job on the wood graining.
Leonidas Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 Beautiful work you've done on this woody. Is the ride height, especially the front OOB or did you modify it? It looks a little low.
