as for the tires they are revell an monogram tires .. michelin trx.. from like the 67 pro street kit (front tires).. some 60s mustangs i think had them .. i like the way these tires look .. better than some of the rest ive tryed out..

If I remember correctly, you can also find the Michelin TRX tires in the older VW Beetle kits, and I know they were the standard tire in all the trailer kits from Revell/Monogram. I have the boat trailers from the Revell sets like the "Gone Fishing" Ramcharger and Bass Boat combo and also the Chevy Van and race car trailer combo, and both trailers have the TRXs in them.

I'm not really sure without digging it out, but I think maybe even the Galaxy trailers have this, or at least very similar, tire in them.

Oh, by the way Davin, that paint job is turning out nicely! :)

The build is looking good so far. I really want to see that orange cleared, polished, and out in the sun. :D

Davin I grew up, and after the Marine Corps, lived, in St Louis. After retiring I vowed to never ever put up with midwestern weather ever again. I moved to the desert four years ago and do not miss the heat AND humidity. It was 113 here last week, but with no humidity to speak of, it can be tolerated.

Phoenix on the other hand, 118. Now that's HOT I don't care who you are. :D

Your General looks awsome! I plan on building a Highly Detailed Plymouth Superbird with Revell's recent re-release. I am watching this topic closely for things that could help me. I'm planning what goodies Ill get for it and other what-nots. I am going a little farther on my 'bird such as fully functional brake pedals so when you use tweezers to push the brake pedal, the brake lights come on! :D:)

This General Lee is fantastic! You're doing a great job! You have some really amazing skills and its showing in your work. I wanted to know a little about your rims and tires. I read that you received them in a resin form. Were they already painted and did the tires come with the rims? If not, what tires did you use? Can you provide me with a link to the site where you bought the resin rims? Much appreciated! Keep up the great work!

Krylon chrome looks good...did you have to base-coat the parts before the chrome spray (like black with alcad)?

Great progress...love the grille...and the keys!

This is going to be really nice when finished! I like the work you've done, especially that grille with those lights is looking very nice. I can see that that there are many General Lee Chargers being built, maybe I should start one too, but from which kit, don't know...
