Dr. Cranky Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Here are a few of mine, subjects I've always loved:
ranma Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 INTERNATIONAL SCOUT II EASY TO CHANGE FROM 72- 1980 WISH THEY MADE THE TRAVELER VERSION.
hotrod59f100 Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 i love what im seeing so far my fav will be done soon is my datsun little husteler . but might be replaced by my 1960 ford f100.
Eshaver Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 I really can not decide on any ONE vehicle . Each one represented it's own unique set of challenges . The first , an R & R 1935 Ford has been one of my most challenging as I was told by Ole Ray that this was a simple drop on A M T's 34 Ford chassis . Yeah, that and a nickel won't pay ya out of a traffic jam on the Gulf freeway . The frame was entirely scratch built as this truck was/ is scaled at something in between 1-23rd and 1-28th . Ed Shaver
Bastardo Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Great looking PUs, everyone! Here's my most fav so far:
Foxer Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I didn't know I liked pickups so much until this thread! It looks like I need to get those in my stash built to go with the only one I have done ...
Sixties Sam Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I built this 37 Ford last month. It's my favorite pickup model. My second favorite is in the background. It's a rusted up 53 ford.
tooltas Posted December 20, 2011 Posted December 20, 2011 that 55 chevy had glass back finders on them, but sill a nice old farm truck im doing a custom s10
rasafyff Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 AMT's 1963 Ford F-100 with the go kart. This model had 3 custom grilles, hood scoop, roof scoop, rear window fillers, tonneau cover, hydraulic lifts, rear fender fins, tailgate filler, custom taillights, rolled pans, nerf bars, spot lights, chrome steel wheels,knock-off gas cap, side pipes, steering wheel cover, head rests, telephone, gear shift,a cute little statue of AMT's THE KAT,and a really unique Paxton style supercharger. It also had a service truck option with flashing red roof light, running lights, push bumper, gas and oil cans, lug and torque wrenches, pit board, and air horns. Even the go-kart could be built two ways! It's at the very top of my wanted reissue list.It was reissued in the late 60's with a over the cab camper cap.
Rick Schmidt Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 Here's mine the Monogram 91 F250. 3 inch body lift to fit the custom made wheel and tire combo i made to replace the 1/2 ton wheels in the kit
rmvw guy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 This 1950 Ford ( the year I was born), has to be my favorite. Of course I had to build the Kurtis Midget to go with it. The truck was the first model I brought to a local club meeting, the theme was 50s Fords.
Wheels Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 (edited) Lots of great looking pickups fellas!! Hard to choose just one since I enjoy building pickups and trucks so much! Nate Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I didn't know I liked pickups so much until this thread! It looks like I need to get those in my stash built to go with the only one I have done ... Not to be a nit-picker, but the bed on the Cameo truck was fiberglass, and thus did not rust.
scalenut Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 true, you see plenty of them rusted to pieces but the bed completely intact.. nice job tho
curt raitz Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 My Dad's 1962 Ford F-100 it be his work truck... and this 1950 Chevy COE Crewcab c'ya...
W-409 Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Not to be a nit-picker, but the bed on the Cameo truck was fiberglass, and thus did not rust. Was the whole cab fiberglass, or just the bed?
Bartster Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Just the outer body panels on the bed were glass.
