Cool Hand Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Started with a revell 94 impala sedan kit and converted into a ute/pick up.
ra7c7er Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Looks like a great build and that last photo is right out of a car mag. Awesome.
Guest Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 That is a cool looking Impalamino Luke! I really like the wheels on it. BTW, I recognize your photo setup. Welcome back!
bbowser Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I love this! Great execution of a great design. Too bad GM didn't think of this (can you say Honda?, pickup built on a car platform).
Cool Hand Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 Thanks for the replies and comments fella's (can you say Honda?, pickup built on a car platform). Thats a good idea actually. Perhaps a 4dr Accord or 2dr Integra would make good ute conversions.
Dragline Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Geez-Loooweez that is incredibly well executed!!!!!!!! That last pic is truly excellent. The paint is Muy Smoooth............ WOW. Bob
Mr Core Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Very very cool! I absloutely love it. And your last shot is excellent. Big thumbs up
MikeeD Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Strangely enough, that looks just like it should...very classy build...and primo last shot....
GTMust Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 It's all been said. What can I add? Except that I wish GM/Ford/Chrysler etc. would build utes in North America and Canada... especially if they were as nice as this one! Tony
Joe Handley Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 GM actually build one almost 20 years ago as a concept vehicle from a Caprice wagon!
Custom Mike Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Beautiful Ute Luke, I love the rear suspension too! Now about that last picture, how did you set that up? It looks like a "Beauty Shot" from GM themselves, I'd love to be able to shoot some pics like that myself!
redknight Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 An excellent build! The ute design takes away some of the portly visual weight that hurt the appearance of the Imps.
Jon Cole Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 That's the cleanest, slickest, sharpest 'Mino I think I have ever seen in scale! Something I thought not possible with straight "B" pillars. Thank God they're not vertical. Wrong era. Great model! Great pics!
Sixties Sam Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Excellent build - just beautiful. I like the bed cover with the Impala logo. Ditto what everyone said about that last photo. Just great! Sam
RodneyBad Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 The ElCamino Lives... Darn Sharp looking Build.. Excellent Conversion.. Last pic is Picture perfect.
Cool Hand Posted May 27, 2011 Author Posted May 27, 2011 Thanks for all the comments much appreciated Now about that last picture, how did you set that up? It looks like a "Beauty Shot" from GM themselves, I'd love to be able to shoot some pics like that myself! Just a puddle of water on concrete, find a spot thats not to deep to place the model then shoot pics at ground level. It takes bit of trial, error and practice to find the right angle to achieve full reflection.
charlie8575 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 Looks like a great build and that last photo is right out of a car mag. Awesome. I agree with all these points. Excellent job. Charlie Larkin
gilsdropshop1 Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 thats one bad ass ride great j0b on the conversion well done!! nice color and stance clean set on the bed!
funhouse1 Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 That is just incredibly well done...nicely photographed as well.
Poncho-Power Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 kinda reminds me of a Holden Ute, which is too bad we never got the Pontiac G8 ST, nice build!
Monte's Motors Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 Without a doubt you need to send that last picture to GM. They would be idiots not to remake that. AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
