PeterC(MrMondeo) Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) Well, as the VW beetle thread went off towards euro Fords id thought id post a cpl of pictures just to rub it in a bit , we in the UK dont have half the great models and parts you guys have ....... ..............BUT we do have these the RS500 The Fiesta RS oh it dont bother me if this thread gets highjacked , and the cruel comments of these great Fords are slated, because at the end of the day , everyone has the right to say what they like or dont like ................simples Edited June 28, 2011 by PeterC(MrMondeo)
Roadkill2525 Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 i would give a kidney to have one too I'd give somebody else's kidney for one.
ra7c7er Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Not in my top 50 but it's better than what I have now so I would take it.
highway Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 ...and the cruel comments of these great Fords are slated,... You won't here any cruel comments from me, I forget if it was the Focus RS or Fiesta RS Jeremy Clarkson tested on "Top Gear", all I remember was it was an electric green. Whichever one of the two it was, I know I'd give must more than just a kidney for it!!
richcrabman Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I own a focus ST,and it's been remapped and chipped which now takes me from the standard 225bhp to the new 295bhp.which at half of the price of the RS gives me the same bhp as the RS But i still would give both my kidneys for one in the old schools RS green.mabe in a years time when they drop in price........ Rich
Harold Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I see these cool European Fords on Top Gear from time to time and think, 'Why can't we have these cars here in America?'
Eshaver Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Interesting cars............., not my style , but interesting none the less. Thank you for sharing them ! Ed Shaver
Bastardo Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) Harold: ... and we think about the same about the American cars here in Europe Edited June 28, 2011 by Bastardo
MrObsessive Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Not necessarily my cup of tea as well, but I DO like that Electric Blue Focus RS! Everyone has their likes and dislikes.......I'm just not a real big fan of FWD cars and their proportions. If they look pretty cool as those look, than the somewhat odd proportions can be overlooked.
Jon Cole Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) We don't get some cool stuff due to product planners and bean counters. These ppl are so cheap, they turn their bar stools upside down so they can seat four. EDIT: Dave, u went to Portugal? Wish I could afford to travel. I can't even afford to go to Portland. Any one of them. Edited June 28, 2011 by Jon Cole
slantasaurus Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I saw a regular Ford Festiva while I was out the other day, that was the first one I can remember seeing. Considering that they have been on sale here since last summer I don't think they are selling as well as Ford would like, I don't think that an RS model would help much.
Joe Handley Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I've been seeing more and more of those around the Burbs though Ron, I swear there must be a dozen different body styles for that little car too
Guest Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Never thought I would utter these words, but that little Fiesta is a cool little car! I believe those would sell like sno cones in July over here.
Joe Handley Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 You know Roger, even for as big as I am, I still fit in those little cars nearly as well as I do my Cherokee What shocked me is that the new Charger R/T's don't have more than an extra inch of "thigh" or shoulder space than those little Fiestas do
Lownslow Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Never thought I would utter these words, but that little Fiesta is a cool little car! I believe those would sell like sno cones in July over here. its well styled for a small car i would get one too supposedly were geting this in ST trim
bigphoto Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 While pretty cool they just aren't big enough as I am a large individual I would look like the perverbial monkey and the football!!
RichCostello Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 I recently traded in my 05 Dodge Dakota(SLT,V-8,34000 mi.)on a 2011 Ford Fiesta for better gas mileage, and boy did I get it.How 'bout 43 MPG Average. By the way,I'm 6ft3 and around 280 lbs.,and it fits me just fine. So far,it's a very cool little car!
