This is the kind of work I expect from you, yet I'm always startled by your ambition...Incredible. I do have a question. How long do you estimate it took you to do this build from start to finish? I ask because the volume of your output makes the quality that much more amazing. Do you have a job? Do you ever sleep, lol??

Great looking model. Your abilities with Alclad are beyond compare, but those wheels are up another notch. The best example of mastering Alclad I've ever seen. Hood bracing could not look nicer. The dash alone could be on display.

You've really have the knack for realism.

... and excellent grasp of artistic license. Please don't stop.

thanks for sharing

Nice work, John! I second the Alclad comment above.

One suggestion: Maybe some where in you bag of nuts and bolts you have some appropriate for the hood and trunk hinges? Short of that try some monofilament line that mushrooms when near heat; flatten out the 'room while still warm to approximate a rivet head.

John, I don't know how you keep cranking out these masterpieces. This subject is of zero interest to me but the build is awesome and is something to learn from.

What's next?

OK, Im completely speechless... I have no idea where to begin....

The paint is just beautiful and the engine detail is amazing as is the interior... You did an outstanding job for your first NASCAR build.... Excellent work as always...

I can't really add anything that hasn't been said already but great job on this "what-if" build. I'm just amazed with your speed, cleanliness and level of detail.

I was just thinking that it would be cool to see a Nascar series, exhibition races or even an new version of the IROC series take classic body styles with modern chassis, safety and engine tech, like your build. Unlikely, but I'd love to see cars like yours here running around the track.

I freaking love it!

How in the world do you do such amazing work so quickly??

I would have to outsource most of this build to get it done in less then a year!

Great job!

John, very impressive, clean build there fella! I absolutely love this model/concept. It looks like a car that would be run in a modern day "Nostalgia Club Circuit" or something. I could see somebody locating an old, partial Matador from back in the day and building it out with parts found here or there and some modern stuff thrown in for easy maintenance. On the track, it would look like the cars from back in the day, up close, there would be some differences. I know that they do this with old Dirt Trackers here in my part of the country.... I love watching the guys race those old machines.

Hats off, that is an awesome build! I build mostly Nascar and love this one.
