MrObsessive Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Well, it's a quiet Friday night so while the putty is drying on my '55 Ford's chassis. I figured I'd shoot an amateur video of the '57 'Vette's working stuff. I'm not the world's best videographer but I figured I'd give it a try. Like the '58 Impala's video, there's no sound, but the clip runs about 2 minutes long. Check it out here......... http://s65.photobucket.com/albums/h240/MrO...aturesPart1.flv Interestingly the lighting is a bit darker than what showed up on my end when I uploaded it..........but things can be seen. Enjoy! 8) P.S. Ismael!! Let me know what you think.........I know you're a real fan of this car!
crispy Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Bill, that is simply awesome. I've always admired your work, however, I didn't know that it entailed this much engineering. WOW! Chris
BIGTRUCK Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Words are not enough to describe that build. All I could do was sit back and stare. You must have the patience of a saint . Awsome.
Mal.au Posted May 20, 2006 Posted May 20, 2006 Well That's it for me I might as well give up now LOL, just think an hour ago I was so happy to have finally lay down a decent paint job man have I Got a way to go Thanks for showing us that bill you are a true craftsman.
ismaelg Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Bill, Now that I have my breath back... WOW! As much as I've read about it, and seeing pictures of it, NOTHING compares to see all those features working. My favorite part is the correct angle / movement the windows roll up and down. Truly amazing. Thanks,
Jeff Johnston Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 THUD... Yup......you the man ! You definitely are the man !!
dub Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 I gotta bump this one too. This is good stuff. I've seen this car and the Impala in person and they are still amazing every time I see them! I didn't realize the Vette had so many working features. Wow. We all are very fortunate to have this kind of work to strive for. Thanks for sharing with us, Bill!
OLDERGUY Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Darn it does't run. Seriously your real close to being the king of detailing. Fantastic things you do.
MrObsessive Posted March 15, 2008 Author Posted March 15, 2008 Thanks guys! Now if only I could get that stillborn GTO to cooperate and join the superdetail party!
krow Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 Bill, It really conveys the engineering that went into replicating the motion of the windows, cowl vent, suspension of these vehicles. It really shows how far the envelope can be pushed in miniature. I couldn't hope to duplicate something like this, and it is really inspiring and amazing to see what a truly brilliant talent can accomplish. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. You have a rare gift and great patience and perserverance. Ken Roenneburg
RodneyBad Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 "Honey, I shrank the car" Comes to mind. just unbelievable craftmanship. WOW WOW WOW I'm sticking to curbside kits now.
Robert81 Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008  OMG!!!, Superdetailer? No. Masterbuilder, yes. I'm as gitty as a school girl.
lordairgtar Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 OK, I was getting all excited about continuing a project long dormant on my table and then I see this. I am now depressed! Just kidding, simply amazing what you did there. The GF just went "oh wow" when she saw the video. Me too.
