Nitrozilla Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Quick, everybody !! This is your one chance to tell John his model looks really, really bad. I'm not gonna do it though. I thought somebody else might want to. John, that looks terriffic. (cough) I'm so glad I checked progress today. (ahem) Love your stuff........
Rob Z Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 John, love the concept and the execution, as usual your work is excellent. The only thing I am not really diggin' is the rear wheel well's, they look rather wierd. I understand that that's the way they are but they still look funny...
BigEdsGarage Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Awesome job so far. This was a cool concept and this build is bringing it to life.
MikeMc Posted August 24, 2011 Posted August 24, 2011 Hey John those intake hoses look very realistic .What do you use to make them, cant wait to see more of your work. DITTO.....are they tissue and glue??
John Teresi Posted August 24, 2011 Author Posted August 24, 2011 DITTO.....are they tissue and glue?? Mike......I used medical bandage tape wrapped around coiled wire......thank`s
bigmikevee Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Hey John, Very, very sharp, moving along nicely, this is going to be one cool ride when finished!! Mike
Nate Posted August 25, 2011 Posted August 25, 2011 Man, that is awesome!!! One critique though; the "gills" behind the front wheels on the front quarter panels look a little too vertical and squared-off. Would they look better angled forward with rounded corners to make it more modern/Ferrari like? Take a look at the body of the Ferrari Superamerica kit you have.

Nate.......thank you for your suggestion.......I wish you would have posted this suggestion while I was doing the body work.......the body has been painted and clear coated .......and while I was doing the body work and studying the artist drawing......I missed the slanted vents......I did not look close enough to notice the vents were slanted in the drawing.......maybe when I make the vent doors I can make them seem slanted to give the effect of an angle?........just a thought?
John Teresi Posted August 26, 2011 Author Posted August 26, 2011 (edited) Hello......I got some color on the body.......H.O.K. white base coat.........Dupont "Jarret" red and clear coat......I will sand it down smooth today and give it one more clear coat.......thank`s for looking. Danno Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Really nice car, John, but you should have painted it bright red!!
LAone Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Really nice car, John, but you should have painted it bright red!! or have used a yellow base instead of white. looks great john, slanted vent doors should do the trick to make them look slanted.
Danno Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 slanted vent doors should do the trick to make them look slanted. Or at least a little biased.
LAone Posted August 26, 2011 Posted August 26, 2011 Or at least a little biased. took me a second to get this!!

LAone Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 chris, i wonder the same thing you do. it makes me wonder if john is part machine!?! lols awesome update. the front of the car looks as if it's smiling.. any chance that your going to be at the route 66 model car show?
Romell R Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Keep this a secrete Chris & Luis Don't tell anyone, but I happen to know that John is a cyborg from the planet Modelleria and his power source never needs recharging. He feeds on Styrene and Super glue and poops out parts and urinates custom paint. Again please don't mention this to anyone.
