John Teresi Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Keep this a secrete Chris & Luis Don't tell anyone, but I happen to know that John is a cyborg from the planet Modelleria and his power source never needs recharging. He feeds on Styrene and Super glue and poops out parts and urinates custom paint. Again please don't mention this to anyone. Romell......you forgot to mention the most important detail......I fart realism.
Romell R Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Romell......you forgot to mention the most important detail......I fart realism. Oh yeah I forgot that part, Wait you werent supposed to know i said that! alright who ratted me out?
LAone Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 buahahahaa, i want some of what your smoking...
John Teresi Posted August 29, 2011 Author Posted August 29, 2011 Hello......well I just need to put on a few decals and a few more details and it`s finished.......I am disappointed in my self.....I wish I would have done a few things differently....oh well......I should have finished pictures tomorrow......thank`s for looking.
Terror Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I'm not disappointed,thats a cool ride man!Loved watching the build.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I keep coming back to drool over this one. What a great job! WOW!
Nitrozilla Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 ".......I am disappointed in my self....." As we all are John. This is a sad day for modeler's everywhere. No blower, no slicks, no jet engine, it can't even do a decent wheelstand !!! Sir, you are the single most diverse talent on the planet and the work that disappoints you is the work we aspire to. Keep on keepin' on John.
Harry P. Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I am disappointed in my self.....I wish I would have done a few things differently.... How so? Looks mighty good to me!
Keef Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 (edited) Romell......you forgot to mention the most important detail......I fart realism. .....so thats where it went... I suppose you farted some "realism" at the license plate of this Vette thing that is covering half the exhaust and touching the outlet. Because I've seen lots of real cars designed just like that. Edited August 29, 2011 by Keef

" Keith......thank you for your keen observation of a replica of artist Mike Lomaka`s drawing.....or as you call it the " Vette thing"......I have corrected the license plate that was covering 1/2 the exhaust outlet........thanks
Jantrix Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 the work that disappoints you is the work we aspire to. Quite right. Aside from some design issues that don't really trip my trigger, the craftsmanship and engineering in this thing are really a marvel. It might not be your personal best, but it's a best of show contender in any contest I've been in.
Dr. Cranky Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 You are a perfectionist, buddy. It looks fine to me!
Alyn Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Romell......you forgot to mention the most important detail......I fart realism. We'll have to remember not to use the phrase: "keep it real" when you're around. Love that combination of red engine with the silky smooth red exterior. Another eye catcher for sure. Nice work on the details as always.
Stickit2gether Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 That is one SCHWEEEEEET ride!!! Nicely done.
Scale-Master Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 " I have corrected the license plate that was covering 1/2 the exhaust outlet........thanks The plate doesn't look like it is covering the exhaust in Mike's drawing to me... (See rear view in drawing above.) So what was corrected realistically?
John Teresi Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) Hello......thank you all for your kind comment`s and for following along with this build......it was truly an honor to build this replica of Mr. Lomaka`s "Italivette".......thank`s Mike.......I have posted finished photos in the "Under-glass" section......thanks Edited August 30, 2011 by John Teresi
Darren B Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 Wow John it truly amazes me how fast you can pump these incredible pieces of artwork out one right after the other one, i guess i just cant stay focused to keep on track and start and stop other projects, you are a truly inspiring builder for me and cant wait to see your next piece of artwork congrats another another beauty...........
Gregg Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 John, your work, inspiration, and true love of this hobby, and the people in it, always amazes me. Don't let anyone get you down with their negative comments or any dissing. We are seeing that a lot here, and we will probably always have it. But, that's the way of the Internet. Now, my two cents. The only thing that stands out on the Vette that I don't like how it came out was the windows. I wish there was an easy way to make them flush-mounted. I know our good friend Bill Geary did an article on creating scale windows before, but I wish there was a real easy way to make flush-mounted windows. My thoughts are to make a clay buck from the body, and then vacuum form clear windows, or something like that. Thoughts, ideas? Great job, John, and yes, I would have changed the color also. I love the colors available from Jameston at ScaleFinishes.com

I love the colors available from Jameston at ScaleFinishes.com Gregg......thank you for your comments and input.......you know I love this Forum and MCM magazine......I believe in it`s future......I have always had a problem with windows.....the only cure is a buck and vacuum machine .......maybe I can get puchase one in the future......and I do wish that I painted the "Italivette" candy red......but,I have so many build`s already painted candy red......I just wanted to go a different direction.......lesson learned go with my first instinct........thank`s again Gregg and everyone.......really appreciated.
Romell R Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Very well done my friend always a pleasure to watch you turn a box of plastic into a true work of art. You keep doin what you do, and that build OUTSTANDINGLY FABULOUS models
Nate Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 That is one stunning model! The photos taken in the sun are really outstanding. Check out the sparkle coming off of the paint there!
