John Teresi Posted September 2, 2011 Author Posted September 2, 2011 few more progress photo`s......thank`s.
Ben Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I am very curious as to where this build is going...and FYI, the GSX 455 is one of the most powerful engines that GM ever produced with more torque than the 426 Hemi. I love Mopars as well, but the GSX could honestly wax most of 'em. So could the Grand National or GNX!
diymirage Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 you know, when i first saw the rolling stock i didnt think id like it but now that its mocked up i likes it are you sure thats a hemi in there though?
FASTBACK340 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Wouldn't it be funny if John was just twisting everyone's tail by putting that 440-6 in the picture?
Guest Markus355 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 where did the wheels/tires come from? He stole them from the 80's.
brodie_83 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 No, he didn't say he's putting in a Hemi...he's putting in a 440 Six Pack. I was just comparing the Buick 455 to a Hemi because they were very similar performing engines, and even though the 440 was quicker than the Hemi, the 426 was a much more powerful engine. Sorry to throw your thread off track. The progress is looking good, and I love the exhaust outlets in the bumper! I agree with Keef though...the 455 looks excellent in there! I love the Ram Air induction setup on those 455's!
diymirage Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 you're right brody, he did say 440 i musta just thought hemi since thats my awnser for anything as for the exhaust...kinda reminds me of a 'cuda
MrDemon340 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 At least its not a Ford body the 440 is going into... that would be pure sacrilege.. lol that would make it a better ford right?
Maindrian Pace Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Man, you guys would have really gone nuts if he stuck a 2JZ in there. -MJS
brodie_83 Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 I realized you're the same one who did the Italiavette and the other weird looking 'Vette...both are impressive. I have faith in you!
John Pol Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 Looking good so far John how did you make the exhaust tips they look really interesting. John Pol
Romell R Posted September 2, 2011 Posted September 2, 2011 gonna be another fabulous build Buy John T.

Romell R Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Outstanding John I especially like the seat belts with the safety labels on them , and the fan belt markings ,great eye for detail Keep up the good work.
Tony T Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 The interior and engine look good to me, John!
John Teresi Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 (edited) John, that engine looks great. Gotta ask, did you do something with the chrome on the valve covers? The plating looks exactly like on the 1/1 set I have hanging in my garage right now, not really bright like mormally seen on modern kit plating. Steve......I stripped the chrome off the valve covers ...... then I painted them flat black...... then clear coated..... then I painted them alclad......thank`s.
