1970 Buick GSX "Flipnose"

I am very curious as to where this build is going...and FYI, the GSX 455 is one of the most powerful engines that GM ever produced with more torque than the 426 Hemi. I love Mopars as well, but the GSX could honestly wax most of 'em.

So could the Grand National or GNX!

No, he didn't say he's putting in a Hemi...he's putting in a 440 Six Pack. I was just comparing the Buick 455 to a Hemi because they were very similar performing engines, and even though the 440 was quicker than the Hemi, the 426 was a much more powerful engine.

Sorry to throw your thread off track. The progress is looking good, and I love the exhaust outlets in the bumper! I agree with Keef though...the 455 looks excellent in there! I love the Ram Air induction setup on those 455's!

John, that engine looks great.

Gotta ask, did you do something with the chrome on the valve covers? The plating looks exactly like on the 1/1 set I have hanging in my garage right now, not really bright like mormally seen on modern kit plating.

Steve......I stripped the chrome off the valve covers ...... then I painted them flat black...... then clear coated..... then I painted them alclad......thank`s.
