gasser59 Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 While I'm not in the same class as Jarius, I do have a few pix I can share.
gasser59 Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 My mom never could understand why I had to put big tires under the rear fenders. Here's one without the big rear tires that she would have liked. Although not a car, it still has tires.
Bastardo Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Brad, those drawings are just amazing! Love them all and each one is something special! Keep us updated with more, please!
Danno Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 Wow!! Great drawings, Brad! As good as they get!! Love the Mercedes, especially. Thanks for sharing them.
gasser59 Posted September 7, 2011 Author Posted September 7, 2011 (edited) Thanks Damir and Dan. I'll see if I can dig up some more around here. Edited September 7, 2011 by gasser59
Dr. Cranky Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I think your work is wonderful. Love the Chevy in the first round of pics you posted. Beautiful. Keep 'em coming!
spad007 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Great work thank you ..panel's i love panels.
Jantrix Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 While I'm not in the same class as Jarius, I do have a few pix I can share. I'll agree Jarius is a great artist, But I also think you are not giving yourself nearly enough credit. Those are fantastic drawings. I'd kill to be able to draw like that.
Wayne Buck Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 I'll agree Jarius is a great artist, But I also think you are not giving yourself nearly enough credit. Those are fantastic drawings. I'd kill to be able to draw like that. x2. My 2 cents - When it comes to art, there really isn't a set "standard" by which to judge who is great and who isn't. For example.. put a few drawings of cars done by Harry P. on photoshop (with clean, crisp lines and "real looking") against some abstract art (where it looks like the artist just flung a bunch of different colored paint all over the canvas)... who is the better artist? I would say Harry's stuff is way better, but someone else might really like the abstract painting. Hope that made sense...dunno how else to explain it. Anyway, I think you're drawings are REALLY AWESOME , and I mean it! I wish I could draw like that, or even half as good! I'm still working on my stick figures... almost got it nailed but I can't seem to get the arms to look right....
mikelo Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Very nice stuff. I like how you showed the highlights and core. I like the old scratched printed look of the Benz. Comparing to others always sets you up for failure. You have a nice style. Mike
W-409 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 That bike is the best one, I think. It looks very good! Other ones are not bad, they are amazing too. GREAT job on them!
gasser59 Posted November 24, 2011 Author Posted November 24, 2011 Dug up a couple more. These were done in high school so many years ago. I always wanted to build the '55 and am even more determined to do so now that I've shared it with you guys.
Greg Pugh Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I'd say you're a fantastic artist! Those are great!!!
Harry P. Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Just an FYI, guys... it's JAIRUS. Not "JARIUS."
gasser59 Posted November 25, 2011 Author Posted November 25, 2011 Ooops. Sorry Jairus, no disrespect meant.
rmvw guy Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Wow!!! Love the Harley and the 55 looks like fun. Enjoyed looking at them all. Thanks for sharing.
gasser59 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Thanks Ron. Doing up the Harley was fun and a bit different for me. Here's a T shirt design that was done for our club's annual contest in 1996. There's a few of these around but not many. Edited December 10, 2011 by gasser59
gasser59 Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Ha Jim!! I'm just full of surprises.
