Prostreet Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Joe I did recieve the 3" turbos. Do you want their dimensions? Sure that would be great.
Prostreet Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Well i decided to try and build my own rack and here is what i came up with. The boots on the end's are off the TDR rack, I haven't decided how i'm doing the tie rods yet , once i do they will get trimmed accordingly. I still have to add the cap on top of the box portion.
eviltwincustoms Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 How about someone measure the Minor side of the Compressor like on a 1:1 and get the true dimensions this way? This would help everyone know exactly what MM not only the 3"and the 2.5" TDR Turbo actually are in a 1:1 application. Or by chance are these spec's that TRD uses, the actual scaled down dimensions for the compressor?
stump Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Joe, great work on the tanks mate, and that rack is to die for.....Fantastic work there man.
vintagedragfan Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 super work Joe, maybe find some thin O rings and stack them on the ends for the boots
Prostreet Posted March 26, 2012 Author Posted March 26, 2012 Thx. Guys, Bill that's a great idea, I have an assortment of tiny o-rings in the basement.
Prostreet Posted April 1, 2012 Author Posted April 1, 2012 Got the rear body support added and the fire bottle mounts done, Gonna finish adding the rest of the bars in the back and front of chassis tommarrow. Then all that's left to do is the chassis part of the door latch and a couple other little things and the chassis will be ready for primer after i check all my joints.
baddgass Posted April 1, 2012 Posted April 1, 2012 (edited) This is one nice piece of work. Edited April 1, 2012 by baddgass

Mooneyzs Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 Joe... Nice work on the rear body support. Looking good and keep the updates coming
Prostreet Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Thx. Guys, I Built a single wheelie bar today based off the 96" R2B2 bar but not 100% accurate, I used RB motion rod ends and will use RB motion bolts for detail and Dirt modeler photoetched parts. Still have to fill down the ends where the rod ends go in then i can paint it. Gonna turn down a wheel for it on the lathe tommarow and maybe throw the car together for a picture with it mounted.
eviltwincustoms Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Nice wheelie bar set up Joe, looks like it is ready to hook up to a 1:1 and give it a test run! Curious where did you end up setting up your top connecting points?
Prostreet Posted April 6, 2012 Author Posted April 6, 2012 Thx. Guys, Bart i did a bracket on the rear cover like the on in this link. http://shop.r2b2racecars.com/11-MW-18-C-L-Aluminum-Rear-Wheelie-Bar-Holder-43-14K.htm
Old Sprinter Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 That is cool. you're a master builder for sure.

Prostreet Posted April 8, 2012 Author Posted April 8, 2012 (edited) Thx. Guys, Couple pictures of the bar mounted with the body on.I also turned down a wheel out of delrin on the lathe. Wanna try to get the bar painted and finished tommarrow. Edited April 8, 2012 by Prostreet
