Yeh, all over a $21 plastic model kit...ridiculous!! Some people need to get a life and relax...there is nothing on this kit that isn't easily remedied and I would suspect that as more production is done some, if not all, of these minor problems will be addressed. You have to wonder how some of these model builders are able ro turn out great looking builds when they voice their concerns about how shabby a job was done on this kit.

It might be rediculous to you, but I know if I'm spending my hard earned money (and I think you might want to recheck that MSRP again) on a NEWLY TOOLED kit, I want that kit to be to a modern standard, not the reissued 1,000 times quality I've seen in a few reviews of this kit so far.

Some people would complain if they were hung with a new rope!

I'd prefer an old already stretched rope myself!

That said I think some would never be happy not even if they gave them away! They will always nit pick! Just their nature I guess!

From all I have seen there is nothing that even someone with my skill level cannot handle.

People should be happy that someone out there is listening to the building community and producing a new kit of a subject that has never been done before instead of just repopping old kits!

Thank you Moebius for this fine kit! Can't wait until I get mine! B)

Ain't that the truth!

We should be happy as car modelers are in general more lienient than armor or aircraft builders. As I build those also.

I remember a few yrs ago a mfgr came out with a new tooled kit of a Sherman tank which had been cried for for yrs and it got bashed because the rear hull plate angle was a few degrees off. Its just BS that some can't see that a company has invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to tool up something that was lacking in a niche and get beat up for it!! We are lucky to have these companies so give them a break!! If it looks like duck, quacks like a duck call it a duck!!

I'll be honest, the one I just bought has no issues what so ever (did forget to check the taillights though) and I can't wait to dig in and start tinkering with it!

Let's be honest this is a low production kit. There's no way it will sell in the numbers a good '71 Challenger would or even a stock Gremlin. It is a niche kit. We may whine about this or that but how much would we be thrilled to pay for the same quality in resin of the same kit? I'll agree we expect it to be perfect but what kit is? I drooled over the new Chi-Town Hustler. I'm terribly disappointed in the body, the engine is the wrong vintage and I'd prefer more assembly on the chassis to have round tubes. Such over pickyness makes a kit that offers great enjoyment a "look at and put back on the shelf" model.

What is wrong with me? What's wrong with the other modelers who drooled over a HUDSON..... Never in my life did I expect that? When it was announced I had to check the date and be sure it wasn't 4/1.

$25 for this kit is a bargain. Poorer quality with fewer details would be over $50 in resin.

Have you notice the bashing of the Hudson bashers have started? Do we really need a separate thread complaining about complainers. perhaps I need to start a thread obout people complaining about complaing, and the someone can start a thread complaining about me complaining about people complaining about people complaining, and then...

i started that thread and it's intent was NOT to bash the kit, but to bring notice to issues that i found when i opened the box.

i'm currently building my kit too, not just some deal where i ran out, got it, popped the lid and gave it a window shopper kind of review. in my case i looked over the parts, planned my angle of attack and now i'm in it and building it. i've noted some things that i thought could have been done differently or where i see potential build issues and i've forwarded that on to Dave Metzner. why not mention them here? because obviously too many here see that the wrong way and think i'm "bashing" it

As much as I hate to agree with Dave... :P I don't see that he was bashing the Hudson, he brought up valid points about the kit he recieved. Mine wasn't as bad as his, but there is a little clean-up involved.

Have you noticed on some other boards the critics / rivet counters are starting their rants. Boy that didn't take long.

Hmm...I don't see any bashing, some concerns maybe, but nothing brutal, but keep them treads going, publicity is what Moebius needs ;^)

How does the old saying go? "I don't care what they say about me as long as they spell my name right!"

I thought your name was spelled "H-A-R-R-Y," not 'R-I-G-H-T.'

That particular smiley at the end could possibly make one doubt the sincerity of this statement. Just sayin'!

i could care less i like the hornet kit im sure the whinners would be licking the cellophane off the box if it was slightly better challenger or a ford falcon

Even when that 'perfect' kit everybody says is possible nowadays comes out, there will be people who don't like it or over analize it. Some people just aren't happy unless they are unhappy. B)

On THIS board, though, I'm pleased to see nothing but constructive criticism on the kit, and more importantly, Dave Metzner taking an active role in producing and improving kits. If you don't like the Hornet, don't worry- Moebius is listening. More importantly, they are ACTING upon the input they are getting from modelers. It can only get better from here.
