Maybe some black steelies and white walls. I guess that's what makes us all different. no i kinda think they go with it lowrider with the bigger tires yes i like!

Even with the stash I have, one sometimes has to compromise. I do use wheel/tire combinations that are driveable for the vehicle or prototypical for replica stock/muscle cars. gerry can you show me more on the foose wheels how are they whats the backs look like also

Donks are cars that actually have to have a lift kit installed in order to have the ridiculously large wheels not rub. Small wheels on a Donk are 22", and they can get as big as 30" last time I checked (there may even be some as big as 32" or 34" now, not sure). These are Donks: Just because a car has large wheels that does not make it a DONK. G-Machine and Pro Touring cars have to have larger than stock wheels because it is a part of them being upgraded with modern performance and handling. Usually Pro Touring cars have 17" or 18" fronts and 19" or 20" rears. These cars also don't have to be raised in order to fit these wheels, the wheels can fit in the wheel wells just fine save for maybe a mini tub. These are not Donks: Just felt the need to clarify, and of course we are all entitled to our opinions. Maybe this could help with your understanding of how they are so much different. Personally I think Donks are ridiculous and I am still waiting to see one topple over. I do love Pro Touring though, it's the best of two worlds : old muscle car style and looks but with modern performance and handling. I'd take one of those over a new "muscle car" any day. im with ya on the donk CANT STAND THEM! we have a new camaro driving around here with that look I wana just stop the guy and say man what are ya smoking LOL
Craig Irwin Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 To me all four of those cars look alike, guess I'm old.

Chuck Most Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 And a set of four-lug Ansens would look killer on that AMT Opel GT I have stashed away!

What in the world does this have ta do with the wheels. It's obvious the pillar's broken and the hood isn't fit.
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 bad wheel choice does break project in my opinion, and also even if wheels are nice but if they are weirdly positioned on car. Donk style wheels look sometimes cool, but again it doesnt mean that you really should use them on your pimp mobile. Again its just my opinion, everyone has rights to customize their own projects just like they want.
Janne Herajärvi Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 BTW that yellow protouring Chevelle looks sweet, and this comes from guy who mostly likes more traditional style cars
David G. Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Paint, stance, wheels, everything comes together as a whole. Many times the kit wheels work just fine, sometimes they don't. I don't automatically lower or lift each build; it depends on the effect I'm trying to achieve. I've never put 30 inch wheels on a classic muscle car, nor have I ever put mud cleats on an Italian sports car. I've not had a reason to do either. But, you never know... David G.

charlie8575 Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Personally, I think the gigantic wheels, even on newer cars designed around them, look silly and cartoonish. I do agree, though, that sometimes, a nice set of aftermarket wheels can make a really nice model, and as also pointed out, specific car, color, etc. Charlie Larkin

To each his/her own. we ALL have different ideas about what does & doesn't look good on a model. I like a lot of different styles so there's no telling what I'll put on a particular build. I WILL respect the next builder's work enough not to trash it. And just because I think this is a cool picture... Edited October 4, 2011 by Tonioseven
Jordan White Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I think the wheels do make or break the build. They have to have the perfect size and backspacing in order to look good on a build. In fact, I just purchased a set of wheels from Wheelman and I went and bought a kit on eBay that I think they would look perfect on.
