Guest Gramps-xrds Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 It'd help if you posted the pic. lol
Greg Pugh Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 How did your ex-wife destroy your collection? I ask because it's my worst fear. It's probably why I stay married and give her whatever she asks for.
Dr. Cranky Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Yes, "destroy" is a scary word. What happened? Great model, BTW.
ewaskew Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 (edited) Nice truck. As for the X I've been there. I just had the chance to get my model's away from the house before I gave her the new's that I would be moving. I did forget a set of high performance plug wire's under the couch, went back to get them and her girl friend was on the couch. I ask her to move off the couch so that I could get them. The X told her not to move, The friend agreed with the X. I said no problem and dumped her in the floor when I flipped the couch over and got the plug wire's. Me and her friend bacame friends after that,go figure. Edited November 14, 2011 by ewaskew
oldscool Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Why do women have such a problem with this hobby? Nice truck by the way. gus
chev12olet Posted November 14, 2011 Posted November 14, 2011 Why do women have such a problem with this hobby? Nice truck by the way. gus It's not this hobby. It's anything that takes attention away from them. I just let mine know it's been here before you and it will always be no mater what. Be strong lol And yes very nice truck !!!!
Bluzboy66 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 That truck looks real nice, and it makes me wanna start one! Welcome back to the hobby. Life is full of frustrations, and I have personally found that a couple of hours of model building really helps to ease them. Here's hoping that you'll enjoy a little 'you time' in the hobby. Mike

Skydime Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 "Destoted"?? Do you mean destroyed? No, he meant Destoted. Trust me, my wife has done that to a couple of mine.
57peppershaker Posted November 16, 2011 Posted November 16, 2011 Nice looking truck, what wheels are they ? That sucks that the X did that, but glad that you came out of it all and are finding time to build again.
gray07 Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Great looking truck, love the stepside trucks any year.
Jantrix Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 de·stot verb (used with object) 1. to gleefully bring harm to anything that another person holds value to, for the sheer purpose of ripping the other persons guts out. Man, if it's not a real word, it aughta be. Great looking truck Jim and welcome to the forum.
surfjunke Posted November 17, 2011 Posted November 17, 2011 Welcome back to the hobby. Very nice clean build. I say your skills are still there. Being single (never been married) does have some advantages. I could not have a girlfriend now anyway because I am a full time care taker for my 86 year old mother.
dimaxion Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 Been there , done that . This is why I started again in 1984 . Talked out of "things of a child , you lay down as an adult ." I gave myself up . I moved from Youngstown , Ohio to Angola , In. during 1990 . I only was stolen from after I moved here when I had my collection in a Storage Unit . Women should be glad to have you in the house , enjoying their company and involved in a Hobby that keeps you home with them . IMHO . Great build , now please keep them coming ..Thanx ..
