Im looking/ wondering if there's an aftermarket mustang II front suspension setup (1:25 scale of course) out there? I know it comes in the revell 37 chevy street rod, but I'd like to avoid buying 1 or more of these kits only for the front suspension. If available, I'd like to get a hold of a couple/ few of them. Anyone?

For one thing the Revell '37 kits are 1/24 scale, so that option isn't going to work for you either. Second, aftermarket parts are of course fine, but don't forget that buying kits just for parts has a lot of other advantages. You can get a 1/25 Corvette kit for less than $10 on ebay most any day of the week. Use the front IFS today. Next time the engine, next build the seats, etc. When you look at it that way, it's way more economical to get parts kits than it is to buy aftermarket.

Revell does a '37 Chevy ?

Think it's the Ford they're talking about.

The 32 Phantom Vicky, and the Revell 41 Willy's street machine are the only two kits I know of that have that suspension in 25th scale. you can make both of them steerable, and as Rob said, you can use ALL the rest of the parts to those kits on other stuff, caz they ARE some nice kits for parts!!!! :D:);)

I was assuming he was talking about the '37 Ford kits because I know they come with IFS. Sorry for the confusion.

Don't forget the AMT 39 Wagonrod. It also comes with a nice 4 link rear suspension with an air ride set up. I have like 4 of these just for the suspensions/chassis.

most of them too are quite "chunky" and heavy duty in how the control arms have been done. the only one i can't comment on is the Wagonrod, i've never had that kit so i don't know what it looks like.

A bit clunky and heavy duty looking. That and the Wagon Rod front suspension looks a bit more like a modified GM IFS than an MII setup, at least if I recall.

I robbed this one from the Revell Beatnik Bandit II kit.

Wow thanks for all the help, I think I'm going for the look more of the aftermarket mustang 2 kits that are offered for almost every classic/ street rod today. I've used the one from the revell 37 ford before on a 63 nova build and that's the look I'm going for now. It's going in a 67 mustang coupe build I'm gonna be starting once the resin body gets here. I'm building a 1:24 replica of my real 67 coupe project. There's a pile of heidt's front and rear suspension I have waiting to go into it.

That would be a good thing for someone to cast! I remember searching high and low for that one I have. Had to give in and buy that whole Beanik Bandit kit just to rob the suspension from. :(

I used the R&D Unique metal front end (1/24 scale) on a Revell Deuce roadster several years ago, and it came out OK. I had to spread the frame rails a little to make it fit. Here's a pic.

The AMT '39 Wagonrod kit has a complete Art Morrison chassis. I'm not sure which (if any) OEM design the Morrison unit is based on, but I don't think it's a Mustang II setup. Others have already mentioned all of the available ones: Revell '37 Fords (all but the first issue sedan, which has a dropped beam axle), Revell Beatnik Bandit II, and Revell '41 Willys street machine. None of the Mustang II kits ever made had decent front suspension detail.

Okay... huh?

This Beatnik Bandit kit?

I ask because I have several issues of this kit, and NONE of them have an MII front suspension, nor a one-piece frame. Was there more than one version of this kit or something? That and the 1:1 Beatnik Banit was built in 1961.... meaning it's way too early for an MII unless it was retrofitted later.
