Scale-Master Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) Built this for my wife, the only true slammer I have ever done. I had the Testors body and I made a chassis from old business cards. Parts box wheels & tires, sheet styrene tinted windows, a couple machined items and custom decals. Paint is leftover Centari from when I painted the wood grain on my Vista Cruiser. Edited November 24, 2011 by Scale-Master
Peter Lombardo Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Very hard to find fault with that build....just beautiful. Great color combo. I really like this one.
Bernard Kron Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Slick! Great color combo to complement the style and stance. There's much to be said for taking the more direct approach of curbsides and slammers.
crazyjim Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Very, very nice. What did you do to the running boards? Decals? And it's so SHINY :)
Eshaver Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 SNAPPY ............................. ! Ed Shaver
Sixties Sam Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 What a beauty! Perfect colors, and great workmanship. Love it! Sam
Tony T Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Great build! Love it! I hope you got some fresh bread for your efforts!!
Scale-Master Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 Thanks all, funny you mention bread, she is baking a couple loaves of banana bread right now!
Greg Pugh Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 AWESOME looking car but........it's a '37. Amazing build no matter what year it is though.
Scale-Master Posted November 23, 2011 Author Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) AWESOME looking car but........it's a '37. Amazing build no matter what year it is though. Yep, bad typing on my part. Worse proof reading... Edited November 23, 2011 by Scale-Master
Ryan S. Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Awesome. Really dig the color combo and how the running boards mimic the grill lines. Great job on this one! We're the running boards and the grill custom decals you made or kit supplied items?
Chuck Most Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 A chassis made from.... business cards? I've had some nutty ideas of my own, but I have to hand it to you I'd have never even considered that. Appropriate that a curbside model is being used for curbside deliveries!
