1320wayne Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 Very nice Roger. Whose car is this one going to be?
Greg Pugh Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It looks awesome. What did you use on your wheels?
Dr. Cranky Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 It's sittin' pretty. With the right color this one will really stand out.
mcandela Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Look real good so far. Is this one going to be Dick Landys car?
stump Posted December 24, 2011 Posted December 24, 2011 Now that's going to be plain wicked !! Love the 70's Mopar Pro Stock's and this one has a killer stance, I like it.
1972coronet Posted December 25, 2011 Posted December 25, 2011 Ambre-coloured parking lights = 1976 . Looking great so far ! Is this based-upon the new(er) issue of the "1975 Duster Hardtop" ? .
caine440 Posted December 25, 2011 Author Posted December 25, 2011 Yep, it is based on the Dodge Duster kit. The photos of the car I am basing this on has amber turn signals in the grille and I am sure it is not a 76. But being a race car and not a production car does change things. The only Cuda with blue headlights was driven by a guy named Ronnie, I do not recall any in the showrooms like that. Thanks for all the kind words.Hoping to get back to the bench Monday and get some work done on this one.
fastram Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 What chassis did you use under the body? I used a MPC Plymouth Duster body and use the Glidden T-bird chassis and it fit so well.
caine440 Posted December 28, 2011 Author Posted December 28, 2011 Very nice Duster Paul! I used a W.J. Olds chassis. I would like to pick up a Glidden kit to see if there are any better goodies in it compared to the one I used.
W-409 Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Very nice work with it. Engine plug wiring looks very clean, and interior is great too. Nothing to complaine about, subject is very interesting too. I was just wondering, that needs to build something like this. (First must build some older ones and finish them though...)
futurattraction Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Looks great Roger! It has a really nice rake.
Nitrozilla Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 I can see it launching off the line right now. Great start to what will be a great finish.
Mooneyzs Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Rodger... Very nice work bud. Its looking great
caine440 Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Thanks All! A big thank you to Scott (futurattraction) for the super cool P.E. Lenco shifter!
eviltwincustoms Posted December 30, 2011 Posted December 30, 2011 Thanks All! A big thank you to Scott (futurattraction) for the super cool P.E. Lenco shifter! Nice build you have in that Mopar.... when I saw the Lenco shifter, I was wondering if that came from Scott (futurattraction).... he has a lot of nice PE stuff he has been putting together. I bought his 9" ford rear end, 4Link and some other things from him when he was at a show here in Kansas.
caine440 Posted December 30, 2011 Author Posted December 30, 2011 Yep, Scott has some very cool stuff. I am just getting into the P.E. stuff and have a lot to learn about using those tiny, tiny, tiny parts.
